Mickalino
Which 1939 movie classic is better? Gone With The Wind or The Wizard of Oz? Frankly Toe Jam, I don't give a damn.
Teller
The Wizard of Oz is one of my all-time favorite movies. When it's on, to this day, I always stop and watch at least a few minutes. I've never seen Gone With the Wind. Yes. Seriously.

G.A.C.O.L.B.
Uh oh. Poll bumping again. You know, I've never seen Gone with the Wind. Am I missing out or is it really dated at this point?
Predicto
Gone with the Wind is beautiful and has its moments, but it is way too long and a lot of it is kind of boring. Plus, I can never cotton to over-romanticizing the old South. Opening credits of GWTW: There was a land of Cavaliers and Cotton Fields called the Old South. Here in this pretty world, Gallantry took its last bow. Here was the last ever to be seen of Knights and their Ladies Fair, of Master and of Slave. Look for it only in books, for it is no more than a dream remembered, a Civilization gone with the wind. yuk
G.A.C.O.L.B.
Ugh. What a nice "dream" and "civilization". How about Dr. Zhivago? I've been meaning to catch it on Netflix for awhile now.
Bang
Uh oh. Poll bumping again. You know, I've never seen Gone with the Wind. Am I missing out or is it really dated at this point? It wasn't much even before it was dated. Unless you swoon over Clark Gable, it's overly-acted, melodramatic, and as Predicto pointed out, takes a romantic view of things we now see as deplorable. ~Bang

CrypticVillain
 I feel so dumb right now. Before I read the OP, I am thinking to myself, "Too Close to Call" movie. I thought I was an idiot for not hearing about the movie before, come to find out, I am an idiot for a whole different reason.
Momma There Goes That Man
I voted Gone With The Wind.Wizard of Oz is great but it's not quite as epic in scope as GWTW IMO. I agree 100%. Plus the acting in Gone With the Wind is excellent and Wizard of Oz, well, anyway.

grhqofb5
Gone with the Wind is better, now that I understand it. Never liked Wizard of Oz all that much, even when I was a kid, just thought it blew compared to Voltron and Transformers.
