Sticksboi05
It can be any dead or alive singer, musician, actor, athlete, coach, president or any other profession. Somebody that you feel doesn't get enough credit for being great. I'll start by saying Frank Thomas. 2 AL MVP's, 500 HR's and a career well above .300 hitter in his prime. Never gets mentioned in best of the decade conversations even. Justin Bieber doesn't count because he just plain sucks.

Who's Levi Stubbs you ask. He was the lead singer of The Four Tops. He never gets the credit as a great singer he deserves.

'Skins_&_'Stons
John C. Reilly. Comedic genius who is also an outstanding actor.
thebluefood
Walter Johnson. Whenever people get to talking about great pitchers, you'll hear about Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez, Bob Gibson and even Babe Ruth. Johnson was considered the best in an era when pitchers ruled. Even after the dead ball era, he could deal. Three times after 1920, he lead the Majors in strikeouts and let's not forget his incredible 1924 seasons when he went 24-7, lead the majors in ERA, and pitched 6 shutouts (also leading the majors). What's really upsetting to me is how often he's forgotten by Washington sports fans. You'll hear this and that about Sammy Baugh, John Riggins, Sonny Jurgensen, Art Monk and other great Redskins. Johnson, though, is arguably the greatest athlete to come from a DC team.
greenspandan
weird al yankovic -- over 35 years of music, and he's still relevant. his most recent album is his highest-charting one yet. jonathan frakes -- not just a fun actor, but a very good director as well. Skins_Fan82
Frank Thomas was one of my favorite players growing up as a kid. Loved watching him at bat. "The Big Hurt."
thebluefood
Al Kooper-50 years of solid work, including creating one of the most under rated bands of all time (Blood, Sweat and Tears) Ray Flaherty-The mind and soul of those early, championship Redskins teams. Were it not for George Preston Marshall's ego, he would have been the coach much longer than he was.
Bang
Me. I'm ****ing awesome. No kidding. I really am. OK, so underrated.. Social Distortion.. lots of people like Social D, but they don't get the credit they deserve for producing rock solid rock and roll music for as long as theyhave. When bands last so long, they tend to become poseuars.. but you never get that sense with Social D. ~Bang

Sticksboi05
The Groundhogs maybe. There are probably a bunch of 60's bands tat are underrated and get lost in The Beatles/The Who/The Rolling Stones hype.
Bang
In that respect, the Kinks definitely get lost in the shuffle. The Yardbirds probably influenced way more people than know enough to realize it. ~Bang
sean_e_b
Jason Schwartzman - He makes great music and is a solid comedic actor, yet I'd be hard pressed to find somebody who even recognizes his name. Jeff Lynne (Electric Light Orchestra) - Not only was ELO one of the best bands of the 70's/80's, but Lynne also was/is a fantastic producer. John C. Reilly - He's already been mentioned, but he truly does deserve more recognition. He's not just a comedic actor, he's amazing in serious roles as well and is a multi-talented musician.
