Bibby
I look at it like this.. Just another team out of the race for Andrew Luck or Landry Jones. Haha..
wysknz1
why would anyone sign fat Al for a 100 million????
Rskins91
Because nfl teams are stupid. There's even one that's starting John Beck this season. To be fair, we didn't give up a cornerback and 2nd rounder for John Beck, whereas the Cardinals did just that for Kolb. But, point taken.
Ken
Just listened to a sound byte of Wisenhunt....said he saw Kolb play in games and play well and Andy Reid talked all week about how great this guy was and he is a great evaluator of talent. LOL!!!!!

LOL!!!!! Yeah Andy Reid is a pretty good talent evaluator, which is why he dumped Kolb.
Bubble Screen
no they werent. people knew schaub had a huge upside to him. kolb is a losing QB with almost a 50% TD to INT ratio. and last season he went out with a concussion and was outplayed by a guy who just got out of prison. You do know that Kolb has more experience as a starting QB than Schaub did then, right? And your last line is even worse. A LOT of guys would have gotten outplayed by Vick last year lol. Like I said, everyone was asking these same questions about Schaub just a few short years ago. ---------- Post added July-29th-2011 at 02:00 AM ---------- Time will tell. It all depends on how he played. The Eagles could be the ones that look like fools if Kolb lights it up. And he will (eventually). That sucks (for Kolb) that they lost Breaston though. Big Blue Joe
You do know that Kolb has more experience as a starting QB than Schaub did then, right? So does Tarvaris Jackson. Why does that matter as far as upside is concerned?Like I said, everyone was asking these same questions about Schaub just a few short years ago.I'd guess they were probably asking the same questions about AJ Feeley and Rob Johnson, too. skinsnshanny
McNabb started infront of Kobb 2 years ago and lead their team to the NFC champ game. Both Qbs got benched last year. Kobb's passer rating for his career is in the 70s. Skins got a 6th Iggles got a 2nd and Rodgers Cromartie. (and are now replacing Kobb with VY) How/why does this happen? Seriously. Same way some people get rich off of the stock market and others lose their shirt. FWIW: Cardinals are idiots. And, this will be the last time AR gets away with a trade like this. Last year you could just say DM was past his prime going to a bad team. But with Feeley and now Kolb, even dim-witted GM's should be able to connect the dots. Edit: I don't know much about DRC, but had heard the Cards were not happy with him. So, if he's not good, then the trade isn't that much of a robbery. However, if he's a solid starting CB, they snookered the cards.
DWinzit
Arizona's NUTS. How could Philly say no to this trade......damn it.
skinsdude
We’ll have to wait a couple of years to see who got the better deal but right now it appears that the Cardinals got fleeced.

In The Barrel
Edit: I don't know much about DRC, but had heard the Cards were not happy with him. So, if he's not good, then the trade isn't that much of a robbery. However, if he's a solid starting CB, they snookered the cards. DRC was a Pro Bowl corner in 2009. Apparently he did have a rough 2010 season, but mainly because the Cards defense ( outside of Porter) sucked ass and too many runs came to his side. He is one of the best ball hawks in football - 13 interceptions in last 3 years - up there with Asante and Woodson. Is he Nnamdi - No - Is he top 10 - yes says almost all analysts. Kolb could be a top 10 QB , so it could end up a true win-win. Eagles shore up the RCB spot that haunted them last year and Fitz gets a QB that can play when protected. pjfootballer
It wasn't what the Cardinals gave up for him. It was more about the 63 million. They gave 63 million to a guy with 7 starts.

Westbrook36
I love how Skins fans forget how they laughed at Eagles fans saying months ago what we would get for Kolb. We'd be lucky to get a 5th for Kolb was the overall sentiment.

Still doesnt take away from the fact that a guy who has been in football lost to a guy who hadnt thrown a ball competitively in 2 years. People DID know Schaub was going to be a good starter once he went to Houston but nobody is sold on Kolb. Nobody asked the same or treated Schaub going to Houston like they are this. Plus now that Kolb got that concussion it will become easier to ring his bell. ---------- Post added July-29th-2011 at 03:32 PM ---------- I love how Skins fans forget how they laughed at Eagles fans saying months ago what we would get for Kolb. I still think that Kolb is going to be great. He's just not as good as that guy that went to prison. But it sounds better when you say he's not as good as that guy that was 2nd in the MVP voting last season. Now it doesn't seem like a such a knock on Kolb, does it? BigMike619
how you come across and others are 2 totally different ways and I think you get that. Personally I dont think he is going to do well at all in AZ. Beanie is soft, they got rid of Breaston and you know they're going to double Fitz possibly triple now. Fred Jones
I still say Kolb is an average QB at best and the bird FO once again fleeced another NFL team. DRC is a good corner that is going to cause trouble in the NFCE and will make the bird defense better. Hard to blame AZ for taking a chance on a QB, however, in a QB driven league. And, no Vic, we win in birdland. With Vic, well we lost at home. I don't know how you can't say Kolb was outplayed by Grossman.
