penasquito
He's started 7 games, he only finished 6 of 'em, he's under .500 on a team where McNabb, Vick, Garcia and even guys like Feeley and Detmer were over .500. How is he more valuable that Kyle Orton? Please, educate me.
Backpack3r
He has shown some flashes of being a good quarterback, plus he is young and has a lot of upside.

Not so much). - Scott Mitchell to Detroit from Miami after showing even LESS than Cobb - Mark Brunell to Jax from GB after showing even LESS than Cobb - Aaron Brooks to NO from GB after showing even LESS than Cobb - Rob Johnson to BUF from JAX after showing even LESS than Cobb - Steve Walsh to NO from DAL after showing arguably less than Cobb - Brett Favre to GB from ATL after showing even LESS than Cobb - Stan Humphries to SD from WAS after showing about the same as Cobb Those are off the top of my head. I'm sure others can give more examples.

terpskins10
Agreed. I really don't see what all the hype is about and he hasn't been that impressive to me. I feel like trading for him is going to blow up in some teams' face, even worse than the AJ Feeley trade in Miami because the price will be higher. JimmyConway
It's all about perceived value. The league's perception is that he has high upside AND he's young. Kolb's trade value is similar to Schuab's after they drafted Matt Ryan in 07-08. Whether or not he will pan out in Arizona is up in the air. Personally, I like his chances with Larry Fitzgerald and an improving run game.
Big Blue Joe
I don't get it either. Statistically, Kevin Kolb hasn't been any better than Tarvaris Jackson

If you can find a stud QB you put yourself in a good position to win. If you land any QB not named Andrew Luck next year, you're going to experience some early bumps. So I guess they figure he is worth more now then any QB left.

That's what ARI is offering, and Philly's trying to get more
zoony
Kolb is straight garbage. He plays scared and rattles easily. I don't get why he'd even be worth a fifth rounder
PleaseBlitz
Because QB is by far the most important position in football and there arent enough good ones to go around? If Kolb ends up sucking, then you are in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes, or at least picking high in a draft that is going to have a bunch of good QB's. If he ends up being good, then you are set for a long time.

I think the Eagles have one of the more QB friendly offenses in the league and this guy looked lost and frightened on the field. I wouldn't want him coming into camp as the starter (and neither do the Eagles)
The X-Factor
It's simple. The Eagles are masterminds at hyping up their players. It's the reason why they got a 2nd round pick for AJ Feeley a few years back. The Redskins on the other hand are terrible at this. We could have traded Andre Carter, who was coming off a 11 sack performance, for a decent draft pick last year. Instead we chose to stash him away and force him to play out of position. paloosa
Kolb showed he can play and is in the same position that Matt Schaub was in Atlanta before he was eventually traded to the Texans. Schaub had less games started than Kolb and has been one of the good QB's in the league. The ironic thing about that is Kolb is getting traded for the same reason Schaub did. Michael Vick. I think that Kolb has the skills to become one of the elite QB's but I don't know if it will happen in Arizona.
SkinsTillIDie
I just don't see why Arizona is about to give up so much... Seems like they're bidding against themselves at this point. Apparently, they've got Orton graded out just as high, who obviously wouldn't demand a 2nd and pro-bowl caliber cornerback. So what gives?
