**** yes. This is a perfect fit. I'm not kidding. I think this will be great for both Chad and the Patriots. I've been calling this for years among my friends from Boston. I'm not at all a fan of the Patriots, but this excites me because I am a fan of Ochocinco. A big fan. Anyone who says that he's a "cancer" because of his antics doesn't understand him, IMO. Yes, he's a brilliant self-marketer. But if you listen to enough of his interviews, you understand that he cares very much about the game. There's a reason that Bill Belichick, perhaps the most stoic man in the history of the world, traded for him. Just like there was a reason that Belichick traded for Randy Moss. (And a reason that he also traded him away. Moss was and is an intelligent, hyper-talented receiver who had a lot of personal issues which translated into a need for particular motivations to do anything with 100% effort. He found those motivations when he arrived at NE, and lost them by the time he left. I honestly feel bad for the guy; his implosion was really surreal to watch. Anyway, the point is that Belichick knew what he was doing then, and knows what he's doing now.)

So what was the reason why he traded for Haynesworth?

So what was the reason why he traded for Haynesworth?

Again, he knew what he was doing. I expect Haynesworth to be extremely productive as a Patriot. I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear a few ESPN/NFL Network personalities to say that New England has added several "2-5" packages to its defense, with Wilfork and Haynesworth as the only down linemen. (This wouldn't be particularly revolutionary for the Pats, by the way. They were the first to semi-regularly deploy the true "amoeba" defense, with zero down linemen, as a tactic to completely bewilder the opposing quarterback and offensive line. As far as I know, they haven't regularly shown a 2-5 look yet, but I'm guessing that they'll at least try it this season.)

Belichick isn't perfect, but he's leaps and bounds ahead of most of the league. He's an evil genius.

I bet Aaron Hernandez is smiling right now. Who the hell is Aaron Hernandez, you ask? He's the 2nd year tight end for the Pats. He wears number 85. Eight. five.

If he's smart he's already begun negotiating with Ocho Cinco for the price to give up the 85 jersey.

As is Chris Kluewe the punter in Minneota who will be auctioning off #5 to McNabb. He could get a new bbq, car or vacation.

Actually I saw something on this. Kluewe plays bass in a local rock band called Tripping Icarus in the Twin Cities area. He tweeted " “If McNabb comes and wants 5, it's his, BUT he has to promise to mention Tripping Icarus in at least 5 press conferences.”

:ols:

FWIW, he showed up at practice today wearing #85.
