If I remember correctly Monk used to remove the NFL shield from his jerseys because he said he played for the Skins not the nfl.

I don't blame the players for not rushing into this. Like others have said, this was a lockout not a strike. The owners passed it now so the pressure would be on the players to agree to it. Seems like the owners are trying to back the players into a corner here.
