Update: Authorities searched and found no evidence of a mass grave....

Mass grave with "a lot of bodies" found in Hardin, Texas, says police source

A law enforcement source has confirmed with CBS affiliate KHOU that a mass grave with "a lot of bodies" has been found by police on a property in Hardin, Texas, approximately 50 miles northeast of Houston.

Liberty County sheriff's deputies are currently on the scene at the home where a tipster reportedly told them 25 to 30 dismembered bodies are buried

Some of the bodies are children, according to the source, reports KHOU.

The tip came in to police Tuesday afternoon, and the tipster claimed that dozens of dismembered bodies were buried in the grave, according to local paper The Cleveland Advocate.

Sheriff says no evidence of Texas mass grave - report

Law enforcement descended on a rural Texas farmhouse Tuesday after receiving an anonymous tip that multiple dismembered bodies were buried there, and a sheriff's spokesman said officials were seeking a search warrant for the property.

Liberty County Sheriff's Department spokesman Rex Evans told The Associated Press his office received a tip earlier Tuesday that there were bodies in the home about 70 miles northeast of Houston. Evans told the Houston Chronicle that no bodies had been recovered shortly before 6 p.m.

"We only received information of a possible crime scene here at this location," Evans told the newspaper. "Upon our arrival we determined that there was a need for a search warrant. Once that warrant arrives at the scene we will further our investigation."

So this story is fake? :ols:

Not fake, just no bodies 'recovered'....there is blood ect (which may include parts) at the scene, and searches are underway with both local and federal officers(thank God,since the Sheriff's dept there is less than optimal)

So, I read all three articles and I saw no mention of body parts confirmed, only some drops of blood.

Still......a few drops of blood = 30 dismembered bodies to this Sheriff's Dept ?

And it says there was a suicide attempt recently that could have even caused that little bit of "evidence"

A neighbor told the Houston Chronicle that the home was that of Joe Bankson. Bankson, reached by the Chronicle in Dallas, told a reporter he didn't know why authorities might be at his home, where he and his wife have lived for three years.

He said he and his wife are long-haul truck drivers and are en route to Georgia.

"I haven't killed anybody," he told the Chronicle. "And I have a lot of friends, but I haven't helped anybody bury any bodies." :ols:

McNair says officials have to take such tips seriously but "don't know if this is true or not."

McNair says deputies who went to the property Tuesday found blood on a back door and detected a foul odor from the house.

He says the blood may have come from a suicide attempt reported at the home a couple of weeks ago. Deputies asked for a search warrant to investigate further.

Texas Rangers arrived at the home with the warrant Tuesday evening.

That slightly suspicious statement is actually the strongest piece of evidence that there are 30 dismembered bodies buried there. :ols:

Then again, we're talking about Texas IQ's, where "dumbness" can easily be misinterpreted by "suspicious statements" to police ;)

So, we could have no evidence, other than that Psychic past his prime

Sheriff says no evidence of Texas mass grave - report

According to the Houston Chronicle, the tip came from a psychic and no bodies have been confirmed on the site.
In other news, 25 to 30 people, 50 miles northeast of Houston are no longer dead. :ols:
So this story is fake? :ols:
Not fake, just no bodies 'recovered'....
There may or may not be human remains at a residence in the US...look, I'm a psychic too.

This story is beginning to sound hauntingly familiar..............

All that because of a tip called in from a "psychic"?

With details about the inside of the home....human blood on the door and porch...strange odor from the house...scene of recent attempted suicide and a convicted sex offender had lived there with his parents.

Would you suggest they ignore it?

Lol @ foxnews headline for this story. It's as if they are disappointed that no bodies were found.

No, but I would suggest they not tell the press until the bodies were found.
