I agree. Like I said, I don't really have a good solution, just seeing if anyone else would chime in with a clever idea.

The only problem I had with this specific play is that Cousins seemed to alter his path away from home plate to hit Posey. It's perfectly fine and accepted as a clean play in baseball today, I just wonder if it should be. When a catcher sets up between the runner and the plate before the ball arrives, he should definitely get hit. I'm just not sure if the runner should be going outside the basepath to make contact.

He wasn't outside the basepath.
