Larry
Thought I'd start a place for people to post observations about those lesser teams' games. Carolina: Davis around the end for 20 yards. Davis up the middle for 2. Davis sits down. Backup RB up the middle for 3. Incomplete. Punt. (Davis is sitting down on 2nd down, after only 2 plays?) wickedwitch
The Giants-Rams game is ugly. Three fumbles in ten minutes?
Larry
So far, with Jax-Car, I think each team has 3 punts and one first down. Wish we had a DL like these guys. I like this kind od football.
wickedwitch
Make that four fumbles.
TexasEagle
Well, I'm bored right now since the Eagles don't play and I don't want to watch Houston right now so I've got the Rams/ Giants on... and let me tell you... all this crap about the Rams being "back" so far is hogwash. Warner has completed one pass and just fumbled the ball in the endzone rather than taking a safety or throwing the ball away. He looks horrible. Just completed pass #2. TexasEagle
Warner's holding the ball for a long time... and their line is getting ripped through like paper.
Larry
I think, with Jax-Car, and the timeouts after a change of posession, the TV people're getting a lot of money.
TexasEagle
Faulk... 4 carries for 3 yards. The longest run, 3 yards.
TexasEagle
O' those tricky rams... fake field goal for a first down. Nice call.
bulldog
Kurt Warner has just fumbled for the second time when he had a chance to tuck the ball before getting hit. Incredible. both times he saw the pressure coming! What is in his mind? He looks like Rob Johnson out there
TexasEagle
And Warner fumbles another one... Martz, you're a genius giving him the start. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bulger in the possession. Actually... since this is Martz we're talking about, yes I would. Is anyone out there? Zen-like Todd
Time to bench Warner. He's looking like a complete idiot out there. If he had just taken the safety on the last drive, and taken the sack on this one, the score would be 6-2 Rams.
TexasEagle
That was his third fumble.
TexasEagle
The Rams oline is getting torn to shreds... they can't block anyone. And Collins just hit Toomer for a HUGE gain. Man the Rams look as bad as last year... Salisbury can choke on it... yeah, the Rams are back... moron.
bulldog
well, Toomer just torched their corners. So the Rams D is having matchup problems of its own. Giants talent on O is for real. The Rams are going to have a hard time keeping NY under 30 points in this one.
Zen-like Todd
Looks like we're going to have company in first place. All offseason I was wondering why the analyst morons were annointing the Rams as the NFC champs. They look the same as they did last year. And I know I'm going to get crap for this, but I think Marshall is slowing down.
wickedwitch
As much as I want the Giants to lose, I love seeing Warner make a fool of himself. And the Giants have another 15 games to blow.
TexasEagle
And the trusty ole Gamecenter has the Bills blowing out the Pats 20 zip. Brady is 1 for 5 for -3. Nice! :applause: And Holmes has 8 for 53 with 2 TDs. Good thing the Chiefs renewed his contract.
bulldog
Pats cutting their team captain Milloy a few days before the opener was very stupid. They should have worked out their strategy a few weeks ago and released him back in early August if he wasn't going to restructure.
Larry
Lots of people booing in Carolina. Jags up 7-0, after a good, sustained, drive, and now they're taking over around midfield.
TexasEagle
I wonder why they don't track sack yardage on Gamecenter... Anyone know of a site that tracks sack yards? Not the sack number, but the yardage lost.
bulldog
Panthers have a good coach and some good players on D but they didn't really address their QB situation for the long-term. Peete is 37 years old, Delhomme is a career backup Where is the young guy with the mobility/great arm to build around?
TexasEagle
Jesus, Warner fumbled another one... his mind is somewhere else right now because it's not on the game. He needs to be yanked... seriously.
Skeletor The Invincible
Giants are getting really lucky with all those Rams fumbles.
bulldog
as strange as it is to say, Warner seems like he is afraid to take a hit each time the Giants collapse on him he bails out and starts to go down BEFORE contact and has fumbled as mentioned 3 times. he looks shellshocked...............just as Jay Schroeder looked during the 1987 season.
