dirty harry
This is an excellent reminder that most NFL predictions -- including most of those we see in this forum -- are worthless, and that the experts are far more likely to be wrong than right. http://es.pn/h9JTJX. So the breaking news is that none of us really know what we're talking about?!? Nothing to see here, move along. :kickcan:
rumplestilskin
Yes I am afraid that predicting anything that far in advance is a complete crapshoot. The Cowboy talk is already starting as NFL.com had them as favorites to supplant the eagles for the east crown. Makes me want to puke. This is why Vegas has mountains of dough because lots of people think they know what they are talking about but none of us really do.
The Tris
I'd just like to state that TMQ is one of the most pretentious sportswriters out there. That being said, he plays one or two notes well. This is one of them.

Some are worse.

Some are worse. Oh I know. I freely admit we are all stupid. No matter if we are just posting here or have a job on ESPN. And the people ridiculing? Even stupider. But hey, it's what makes us fans. hail2skins
But he fails to mention that ESPN listed about 16 of their peeps' predictions before the season and a pretty good number had Green Bay winning the NFC. And I think the reason why many didn't like Pittsburgh's chances was because they didn't think the Steelers would be able to overcome Big Ben's 4-game suspension. ArmchairRedskin
That's the beauty of the NFL, isn't it? It's really hard to predict what will happen. A lot of stuff that makes sense on paper never manifests itself on the field. and every year there are players and teams that come out of nowhere. Look at a guy like Brandon LLoyd or a team like Tampa Bay. That's why a fan of every team can go into the season with expectations that this could be the year and it's why Vegas keeps making bank off NFL bettors. pjfootballer
I used to like TMQ. Then Easterbrook kept regurgitating the same thing week after week. Very boring. Then only thing I liked was his cheerleader of the week.
