Boston Herald: Tom Brady's Ooomph to UGG

He’s won three Super Bowls and is married to a supermodel, but this could be the real test of Tom Brady [stats]’s manhood and star appeal.

Deckers Outdoor Corp. is betting on the Patriots [team stats] quarterback to convince the masses that the UGG brand — largely viewed as a women’s shoe brand epitomized by its ubiquitous and schlumpy sheepskin boots — is fashionable and macho enough for men.

lol @ the advertisement picture for it. Brady looks like if Dorothy Hamil was a lumberjack.

and it doesn't matter who they sign to peddle their product, it's still feminine-looking. I don't think Chuck Norris could pull it off.

I hate how the ladies drool over him. He looks like a wimp. Nothing about him says "rugged and masculine." He looks like a pretty boy, kind of like Romo sits to pee.

I really don't get it, either.

Apparently, more women want their men to look like a total jackass (see: UGGS, popped collars, etc.)

Y'all are clueless about marketing if you think he doesn't sell. He's a winner, has a supermodel wife, rich beyond words, incredibly athletic, well-behaved, etc, etc. Why would he not be a good spokesperson for a company wanting to pitch their product. I know my wife would ditch me in a minute given the option, and I can cook! :)
