i wanted to go to the nickelback concert at the Va Beach Ampitheatre but couldn't score tickets

I went to the Kings of Leon concert though, and it was just like listening to their CD, it wasn't too great of a show.

Went to the Creed Concert in Late July in Va Beach. Had 3rd row seats we bought for $26 a ticket and no processing fee(some type of promotion for the first thousand or 500 buyers). Dead Center of the stage so the view was amazing. I was actually shocked at how hard creed plays. The came out sounding like a death metal band. Highlights were 'My own Prison' and 'Whats this life for'. Was certainly worth $52 as it was one of the better performances I have seen live. The $12 beers however were consumed by others, I could not imagine ever paying that much for a 16 ounce beer. Saw Bon Jovi and the Goo Goo dolls some years back. Goo Goo dolls were horrible, as for Bon Jovi, well they did their entire set acoustically so wasn't impressed. When I hit a concert I want to hear the songs played as I hear them on the radio not some singer trying to be creative and artistic or whatever reason they justify changing the music up at concerts.

1) Elton John and Billy Joel @ Times Union Center in Albany, NY

had 4th row seats, enough said. watching them play together is one of a kind

2) Tom Petty/ZZ Top @ Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI

had 5th row seats for this one. setlist was kind of bleh, but an awesome show nonetheless

3) Eagles/Dixie Chicks/Keith Urban @ Gillette Stadium (sorry!) in Foxboro, MA

Eagles always are great live, i have to say at risk of losing my man card, the Dixie Chicks were actually enjoyable

4) Elton John @ Sovereign Center in Reading, PA

puts on a great live show

5) James Taylor and Carole King @ MSG in NYC

same idea with elton john/billy joel, you can't beat the combination

6) Alice Cooper/Rob Zombie @ Mohegan Sun, CT

more of an alice cooper fan, but zombie puts on quite the show

KISS @ Jones Beach, Long Island, NY

not even ranking this one, completely disappointed and underwhelmed

and 2010 was a light concert year for me! haha

Do you mean only in the context of them playing acoustically as opposed to plugged in?

Because I'm with Reic. If I go to a concert and it sounds just like their cd, I am incredibly disappointed. What's the point in even spending the money to go to the concert if they're just trying to play it exactly as it appears on the cd (which usually means they're doing a bad job of it, because they don't have 200 takes to get it right)

1. Pearl Jam 5/21/10 at Madison Square Garden - one of the best shows I've seen in my lifetime, 10th row

2. Black Crowes - 90 minute acoustic set, followed by 90 minute electric. 2nd row tix

3. Kings of Leon - front row in the pit, great live band they're going to be around a long time

4. Dave Matthews Band - seen them at least 25 times but they never disappoint, in the pit for this one too

5. Alice in Chains - one of my all time favs, new album kicks butt, great to finally see them live

1. Killswitch Engage and Unearth

2. Sevendust (saw them twice this year and even got to meet them)

3. Tech N9ne

I usually go to more concerts but with work, school, and my kid it was hard to go out and see more shows. Pissed that I missed the Mayhem Festival this year.
