Parsec2010
Can someone please tell me when, if ever, a Redskins QB has passed for 4000 or more yards? How many QB's in the NFL could pass for 4k yards despite not having a #1 receiver? I mean, what QB has ever passed for 4,000+ yards under these extreme conditions? Something for you McNabb blamers to think about.

Mr. Sinister
Yards don't matter, only td's/turnovers/wins. It really isn't that difficult to understand. He has failed in all three departments, and the team hasn't helped him. That is factual.
santana_4_prez
He is on pace to set the single-season Redskins record, and his own personal best. I believe Jay Schroeder has the record right now at like 4,207. ***Edit, Schroeder had 4,109 yards, I believe that is still the Redskins single season record. Burgold
It's impressive on one level. Behind this line and without a lot of help at receiver that's a lot of yards. It's also frustrating. He's accumulating this many yards because the game's never in hand.

Crazy Levi
I like McNabb...but he really looked terrible yesterday. Just awful. I was at the game - even the Giants fans took pity on me. Nobody messed with me and some Giants fans even gave me beer on the train. I'd hate to be in Shanny's shoes now...you really have to wonder what decision they will make on McNabb. Looks more and more like it's just another 2nd and 3rd round pick down the toilet. In the end, we'll probably pull a "sign and trade." We'll end up re-signing McNabb, and trading him to the Vikings or Cardinals for a 4th rounder in 2012. Another Skins humiliation.

Burgold
That "scramble" turned fumble yesterday spoke louder than anything. I don't know. It was just an indecive play turned bad. I think part of it was that McNabb was hoping and waiting and praying that someone would open up for that big gainer. The Giant's dbs maintained their discipline and like everyone else on the 'skins yesterday he got stripped. It's a good thing there aren't any underage players on the 'skins. The FCC would have shut the NFL down. I've never seen so many strips in one place.
Frostx08
Lol this thread is a fail. Although I see your point...bad timing especially when everyone is depressed. No one cares if we're not scoring points, we need playmakers, someone that can make a catch and take it to the house. I watched the Packers game and I keep getting jealous of watching Greg Jennings and Donald Driver stop...make a catch and then evade defenders :-( Side Note : This is only his personal best because he's been injured in the past. He's always thrown enough yards per game to have over 4000 yards and led the league in 2006

Brandon Lloyd Christmas
TDs > Yards that being said, its nice to see mcnabb can rack up lots of yards on big completions, something we havent had in along time. if only our skill players could turn some of those big gains into TDs we'd be much better off. when i see greg jennings and donald driver turning bombs into TDs, i just cringe at thinking about fred davis and moss or any of our guys getting tackled at the 2, heyer committing a false start, and settling for a FG on 4th and goal. lol

We will probably release him...as for being in Shanny's shoes he also has a horrible defense that takes us out of the game before we can even blink. It's to the point where even if our offense scores points...they still look horrible because they can't keep pace when the opposing team is manhandling our last ranked defense
GaryGreenMonk
he's accumulating so many yards because we have been reduced to starting 2 RB's that were both on practice squads to start the season and they are behind the worst offensive line imaginable. rookieskin
MCNABB is NOT the problem on this so-called "Team" He should be awarded a Purple Heart and a Silver Star for playing behind this line, especially in this division.
Botched
MCNABB is NOT the problem on this so-called "Team"He should be awarded a Purple Heart and a Silver Star for playing behind this line, especially in this division. It's possible for both the line and the QB to play poorly, it doesn't always have to be one or the other. McNabb was horrid yesterday, even when he had time. His bizarre run/non-slide/fumble was the worst play of the game. His two interceptions were absolutely awful throws. He was missing receivers all over the place. We should all expect better play from our QB.

But the Skins have the option to cut him. But I assume the Skins could still try to get some picks back by taking the option, and then trading him (by setting up a deal where that would happen). To do it you'd have to find someone willing to take on his contract, or have the Skins pay off some of it. Typical.
greenspandan
haha. guess what: when you're behind, you throw the ball more. QBs of losing teams often have gaudy yardage. add in the fact that we have no run game, and there you go. having said that, i think mcnabb is doing an adaquate job considering the horrendous o-line, non-existent run game, and attrocious defense. those are all recipes for lots of interceptions. Gibbs Hog Heaven
Pftt, yards. A downfield passing game. All garbage in comparison to what Captain Checkdowns achieving in Oakland with a stellar run game and defense behi ..... Didn't you get the memo that this was a bad trade when we had someone comparable already on staff? Hail.
scruffylookin
He's also on pace for the third lowest Touchdown percentage this team has seen since 2000 and 6th or 7th lowest since 1980. His QB rating is the lowest since Mark Brunell's memorable debacle of a season in 2004.
