GenMgr
@kjohnsoncsn Just confirmed that Shanahan has deactivated Albert Haynesworth for today's game because he was sick on Friday and didn't Practice. Wow.

bird_1972
I wonder how much the front office is planning on getting in return for a trade in the offseason?

Chachie
My knee-jerk reaction was to blame Albert but really it's Shanahan who made the move. I assume.
TheDiplomat
Ppl are blaming AH on this one? We've blamed him fairly a lot, but this is a coach's decision. If it was up to him I'm betting he plays. This rule is BS tho. If McNabb/Cooley/Fletcher/etc. were sick and didn't practice Friday they'd all be active. AH has played well the last couple of games. GenMgr
@RussellMania09 Haynesworth was limited in practice on Friday, which means very little. Saw him yesterday at hotel, he looked ok #redskins
Madison Redskin
I was dead set against trading for Haynesworth, but this staff is doing a horrendous job at utilizing his talents.

I assume. Now that the season is a wash, he probably wants to make sure AH doesn't get hurt so it destroys his trade value this offseason.
Travdaskin
He practiced the whole week except for Friday and he is inactive right? That makes a bunch of sense
TD_washingtonredskins
So we have a guy who was sick and missed practice and people are up in arms that he's not going to play? I don't really see the story here. I don't "blame" Haynesworth for being sick and I don't "blame" Shanahan for having and sticking to a policy. Move along. As Gene Hackman once said...my team is on the floor (field).
Mania
we didn't trade for haynesworth, he was a FA acquisition by the Snyderrato regime.
Gibbs Hog Heaven
what the eff. can't say this coaching staff gets the best players on the team ready to go. HoF headed HC discipline standards with HIS team > total disgrace to organization, teammates, fans and profession. Bur aside from him being more petulant than a prepubescent teenage girl, he's athletically talented; so maybe's I'm wrong, shrugs. Hail.
RedskinsInFebruary
I really hope Shanahan has some sort of long-term perspective at work here, but I'd fight to the end until we're mathematically eliminated, and we needed AH today, sheesh. SKIN4WAHOOZ
was he sick with a cold or sick with the flu? if this fat lazy ******* doesnt have the flu and missed practice over a lil head cold he should be made inactive for the rest of the year. im not sure what the situation is and by this tweet no one else does either. i do find it funny how everyone blasts this organization for over paying players and they get here and do nothing. we finally get a coach who isnt gonna put up with the BS and people start taking the side of the players...again, i do not know the situation but knowing fat lazy arse albert im sure this is the right decision. Drockvb
Maybe this is Shanahan's way of getting him into the offseason healthy. They won't be able to trade an injured Haynesworth.

Sellersfan
Fat Albert officially listed as out with a hang nail. He has also been battling an ingrown hair for sometime now. Prognosis for both is not good, because treatment has been slowed by a patch of dry skin where his shoulder pads rub against the affected area making it red and sensitive.
