Redskins Team Rankings:

It’s tough to compare eras, and I figured differential was as good a way as any to figure it out.

Formula:

1. Find rankings in offense to defense differentials for each category

2. Add rankings together

3. Sort rankings based on lowest to highest totals. Lowest is number one, highest is number seventy-seven.

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION: These are based on overall team statistics, please keep that in mind. Records don’t show the whole story when looking at the overall picture. In some cases a team that won 3 games could be worse than a team that won 1. These are statistical rankings. Keep that in mind.

There’s concern that this doesn’t take into account games played per season. I argue that it doesn’t really matter. A bad team is still a bad team. A good team is still a good team. It won’t vary their overall total by enough to make too large a difference. I’m confident teams are going to land at least in the vicinity of where they belong on the grand scheme.

I will post one as often as I can. We’ll start with No. 77 and work our way up to No. 1.

Some feedback: Does anyone want me to continue with the per game stats? Are enough people reading for me to continue it? It's not time consuming, but it becomes tedious. I can pick those up again later if people don't want them. If someone chimes in and says they like them, I have no problem continuing. I just don't want to keep doing them if no one cares :ols:

KDawg, I second Scruffy's sentiment. However, as I think I mentioned in a thread when you first started this, a problem you're going to have is that just about everyone on this board isn't going to be able to relate at all to anything prior to the 1970s, and many aren't going to be able to relate to anything prior to Gibbs 1.0.

I don't necessarily mean kudos or even responses. I just want to know if people are reading the per game statistics. :ols:
