cweed15
The bottom line is we all want to win. Everything is gravy for a week when we win, but when we lose it hurts because they have shown hope. I dont understand why we cant see that when we were a dominant team 20+ years ago, we had the most dominant line in the league. That used to be our roots, but we have lost that. USS Redskins
Bobby Beatheard and Joe Gibbs built a Dynasty on Free Agents and trades for veteran players with a few draft picks thrown in... Signing Vet free agents works but you have to have the right guy in place to determine the talent level and need on the team. The previous decade was a disaster b/c they didnt have a GM in place who can spot and identify talented football player who meet the needs of the coaches. To be honest, the way they are running the 3-4 now - with numerous players playing out of position, I am not sure the current regime will be much better at free agents or even the draft but they couldnt be worse... I would hope they would design a scheme that actually caters to their players abilities but what do I know? Either way -this is a douchey thread b/c people are actually allowed to complain about their favorite team - whether you like it or not. Just dont read the threads and go tell people what a great fan you are and how everyone else sucks b/c they are not you.
NavyDave
Rabach was considered a servicable C until for some reason this year he has sucked. McNabb was a good pickup no? How many more wins do you think we would have with Campbell at the helm? Or even Rex Grossman? 1. Serviceable?? In what alternate universe? We were calling for a replacement at center last year and the year before. 2. Not really. We will still have a losing record and we helped strengthen a division rival with our draft picks while not getting younger with them. 3. Probably the same amount since the supersmart coaches still would have had Galloway at WR
joeknows
Rabach has been called a servicable, never said he was great or worth being a starter. I don't appreciate your vitriol and I am holding mine back.Very few on this board are qualified to judge talent. Unless you personally have a job scouting on a team at a high level neither do you. as i said... i was being sarcastic. but i dont buy into the notion that a person has to be a professional at something in order to know about it. rabach hasnt been SERVICEABLE for the last 3 years. and as far as holding back? if you feel froggy.... jump. Plain and simple. The merits of spending 2 draft picks on him can be argued when he leaves honestly. 3. The super smart coaches don't have Galloway anymore. as i said... i was being sarcastic. but i dont buy into the notion that a person has to be a professional at something in order to know about it. rabach hasnt been SERVICEABLE for the last 3 years. and as far as holding back? if you feel froggy.... jump. You don't need to be a professional to know about something. You need to be a professional to actually do it. The people in management at Redskins Park are in charge because they know what they are doing. Because they could not turn it around 100% in one terrible offseason doesn't mean they have no clue what they are doing. I am not going to engage in ad hominem attacks. FWIW i NEVER expected nor criticized them for not having the team turned around by now. i am getting EXACTLY what i expected out of this team so far with exception to a few decisions made. i dont have to agree with them and whether i think they were stupid or not is irrelevent because bruce has yet to call about my opinion.... and i am confident he never will. as far as ad hominem attacks.... you got defensive for no reason .... youre probably best served by getting the wad out of your panties ... i never attacked you at all.... i just disagreed with you.... Conn
You're sick and tired of all of those message board topics on a message board where you've got 16 posts and have been here for less than a month...I'm thinking this isn't the place for you, if you are sick of fan speculation and discussion of...well, pretty much everything there is to discuss as a fan. rumplestilskin
Sounds like sports communism. adam@section118
it amazes me that someone with, at most, 29 days being a member here that you could possibly be sick of anything. and i whole heartedly disagree with your idea that we should, "know our role and shut our hole". our job as fans is way bigger than just watching and rooting. we support this team. FINANCIALLY. without the fans they cant pay those multi million dollar salaries. so since we purchase their "product" we have all the right in the world to ***** about the quality of the product that is being given us year in and year out. You do realize you can lurk without being a member here?
wildbill1952
Wow! A thread that proposes removing 99% of all discussion items. All because the team has already hired someone other than me. And because the team has done so well with those they did hire, based on the offensive juggernaut that is the 2010 Washington Redkins, and the wins and NFC Championships and the recurring playoff and SuperBowl appearances and wins. Oh wait... You sound like the type who probably complains about policiticans. Based on your thread title (speech, rant, tirade, drunken soliloquy), "you should stop looking for the next answer to all of our problems or the next quick fix. They hire people to do that and you're not one of them." I support the Washington Redskins. But I'm not going to pretend that what the ownership and management (those that were hired) have done for this team in the past decade has somehow produced a winning tradition. If it had done that with those they hired, then those of us who weren't hired wouldn't have anything to complain about. In the meantime, may I suggest decaf or one of our other non-alcoholic beverages?

LoudMouth12thMan
Newsflash. Part of the reason this franchise is headed in a better direction is because of people doing just what you're asking them not to do. Some, even many, will say that's false, but I believe Snyder heard the "voice of the fans" last year and did what we've all been asking for since he came here. Call me nuts, but after last year, Snyder saw that people were pissed and at the brink and a lot of those fans are still on this board, supporting their team, and just hoping for better days. Suggesting that we shouldn't play GM once in a while is just plain stupid and not very much fun. BTW, we need to draft a RB late in the draft and a G/C early in the draft and a punter in the 2nd. :paranoid:
MrDuble81
if thats so how come its taken him over 10 years to see that people were pissed? Dont let him fool you, DS still does what he wants. he just makes you think things are changing so you will buy tickets and jerseys again... new talent=new jerseys=more money in his pocket. any way you spin it, the changes that he have been made by bruce and shanny are still DS' work. and drafting players is great! the come in as rookies and hopefully will become great redskins! thinking that Randy Moss or Julius Peppers is the answer to our problems? is ridiculous. F-16 CHIEF
Have faith in your team, have faith in the redskins! Be an extremeskin and a supporter of every player that puts on the jersey of the team you love! hail! Wow. I didn't know Dan Snyder had an account on here. Yes, have faith in a Front Office that brought in Jim Zorn to be the offensive coordinator, then decided they'd just move him into the HC role. Have faith in a team that gave up picks for Jason Taylor. For one year. Have faith in a team that has one division title in 18 years? You're joking right? Tell me this entire thread is a joke? I will never have faith in the Washington Redskins until they can put a consitent, professional team on the field. 18 years later, and I'm still waiting. skins island connection
Speaking for myself, if I purchase a napkin with the Redskins logo or insignia on it, with the intention of purchasing it as a souvenir, then it pretty much qualifies me to say whatever I want! {at least within reason, aye Jumbo? wink wink}. I don't know all of the ins and outs of professional football, but I do know more than some, and others know more than me, and anyone bringing up a topic or *****-fest due to a player{s} incapabilities is not a problem. Pretty simple, and not trying to be rude, but, if you don't like it, don't read it...
