The bottom line is we all want to win. Everything is gravy for a week when we win, but when we lose it hurts because they have shown hope. I dont understand why we cant see that when we were a dominant team 20+ years ago, we had the most dominant line in the league. That used to be our roots, but we have lost that.

Bobby Beatheard and Joe Gibbs built a Dynasty on Free Agents and trades for veteran players with a few draft picks thrown in... Signing Vet free agents works but you have to have the right guy in place to determine the talent level and need on the team. The previous decade was a disaster b/c they didnt have a GM in place who can spot and identify talented football player who meet the needs of the coaches.

To be honest, the way they are running the 3-4 now - with numerous players playing out of position, I am not sure the current regime will be much better at free agents or even the draft but they couldnt be worse... I would hope they would design a scheme that actually caters to their players abilities but what do I know?

Either way -this is a douchey thread b/c people are actually allowed to complain about their favorite team - whether you like it or not. Just dont read the threads and go tell people what a great fan you are and how everyone else sucks b/c they are not you.

Rabach was considered a servicable C until for some reason this year he has sucked. McNabb was a good pickup no? How many more wins do you think we would have with Campbell at the helm? Or even Rex Grossman?

2. McNabb was an upgrade. Plain and simple. The merits of spending 2 draft picks on him can be argued when he leaves honestly.

You don't need to be a professional to know about something. You need to be a professional to actually do it. The people in management at Redskins Park are in charge because they know what they are doing. Because they could not turn it around 100% in one terrible offseason doesn't mean they have no clue what they are doing.

at least we can agree on your first statement. FWIW i NEVER expected nor criticized them for not having the team turned around by now. i am getting EXACTLY what i expected out of this team so far with exception to a few decisions made. i dont have to agree with them and whether i think they were stupid or not is irrelevent because bruce has yet to call about my opinion.... and i am confident he never will.

and i whole heartedly disagree with your idea that we should, "know our role and shut our hole". our job as fans is way bigger than just watching and rooting. we support this team. I support the Washington Redskins. But I'm not going to pretend that what the ownership and management (those that were hired) have done for this team in the past decade has somehow produced a winning tradition. If it had done that with those they hired, then those of us who weren't hired wouldn't have anything to complain about.

Newsflash. Part of the reason this franchise is headed in a better direction is because of people doing just what you're asking them not to do. Some, even many, will say that's false, but I believe Snyder heard the "voice of the fans" last year and did what we've all been asking for since he came here. Call me nuts, but after last year, Snyder saw that people were pissed and at the brink and a lot of those fans are still on this board, supporting their team, and just hoping for better days. Suggesting that we shouldn't play GM once in a while is just plain stupid and not very much fun.
