Attention skins fans! Stop looking for the next answer to all our problems or the next quick fix! They hire people to do that and you're not one of them!

Are you happy Danny? ARE YOU ****ING HAPPY?!?!?!?!??! Look at what you've done because you wanted to play fantasy football. We have no yougn players and no ammo to rebuild. We have been bad since you got here and I can't see how we're ever going to be good in then ear future. You are, without a doubt, the WORST owner in the history of the NFL.

i do like draft talks. its opportunity to bring in a Redskin and hopefully a successful one. its the people who wanted TO, or Randy Moss while they were available that bug me. but Draft talks should be saved for the off season. we have a month left and 5 games. what can we do in those 5 games, with the players we have in place. to win those 5 games. believe it or not we can win our last 5 games. we have the ability and we have the people in place to do it, where can we improve? what do we need to focus on?

So we're not allowed to discuss the long-term view of the team, we are only supposed to focus on this season? That kind of sounds like the guys who ran this team for the last 10 years.

You know, I was like you once. Full of hope, give the coach or player a chance, keep your head up, we will get them next game and so on. But when you root for a team that consistently do the same things over and over again, from year to year and with different coaches then you have to look at what is the real problem. Yes everyone on here has a quick fix, win the Super Bowl theory, bring in this or that Head Coach or player, draft this or that player, or sign this or that FA but we all love the the Skins. We are just tired of the owner and every coach that comes in here that fails to improve any part of this team. We see glimpses of hope only to see this team lose to a team like the Lions, Rams, and the bottom dwellers of the league. So while we may gripe, complain and cuss like drunken sailors we pay our money, go to the games, or watch them faithfully every game and every year only to see them fail to make any progress back to the Super Bowl years. So everyone has an opinion and some of them get paid for them (former players turned TV analysts). So to tell us that you are tired of hearing the fans make all these statements is just too dam bad. If you followed this board and are now just starting to post here then you are just like everyone else with an opinion. We all have one and are entitled to it.

i have come to expect some of these things from skins teams. i expect every one i talk to to overshoot what the skins are really capable of, and then get pissed when it doesn't happen. i took a look at our schedule last year when it came out and my first words were "7-9" i looked at games like the rams, and the lions and if you know and love something you recognize its strengths and its weaknesses, the lions and rams have been a weakness in recent years for whatever reason. but you know that, you come to expect it and personally i laugh about it every so often as if to say "thats my boy"...its characteristic of the team you love, it happens and you know it will happen, when the team succeeds you jump for joy and you say wow i didnt know he could do that, but until then, if you say you have seen it year after year, then how do you not know to expect it?

this is the one argument that i love. blame the guy that doesn't play or game plan at all. he has been awful and hes annoying in past years but he gave his reigns to Bruce Allen, we can no longer blame him for making stupid moves, unless you believe that giving Bruce Allen the reigns was a stupid move.

Shew!! What a relief!! I guess there is no reason to come to extremeskins anymore since all I need to do is sit back and watch. Seriously man, this site is almost like catharsis for some of us. We need to be able to vent somewhere. Here's an idea. If you don't like seeing the suggestions that the rest of the fans have, then stay in the tailgate.

im not trying to eliminate discussion on what the team can do better. the title explains that i am fed up with the "get super bowl quick" schemes some fans come up with, some of which are absolutely ridiculous. im tired of fans who believe we are entitled to every big name free agent that becomes available.

Tell it to Snyder ;), he was the one to say he wants to win SB every year, and also made a lot of fans hyperventilating each and every year with his free agents busts and coaching carrousel. It is going to take more than a year to overcome this syndrome.

My favorite posters are the ones who say something to affect of, "If the front office would only have listened to my suggestions" or, "The FO needs to read the boards more and listen to a bunch of fans who have never played nor coached at a high level before."

Those make me laugh.

and yet despite the fact that many of those posts are reactionary..... many people on this site, seem to be spot on with their analysis regularly.

you ask any coach or player today, they are focused on New York. Beating New York. How can this team beat New York. thats it. Donavan Mcnabb is not thinking about what Reviver we should pick up in Free Agency this off season. Hes thinking about Justin Tuck, and Osi Umenyiora. Hes thinking about the Giants Defensive schemes. Hes thinking about how he can win this game, and this game only. hes watching film on New York. that is what we as fans should be concerned about too. I WANT TO BEAT NEW YORK THIS WEEK! screw next week, next year, or the next decade, lets beat New York.

There is a quick fix. It can be located in the owner's box. Time line for those of you not aware. Redskins were not competitive after the Baugh days throughout the 1950s. Got progressively better in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s when Redskins fans became a little spoiled. Jack Kent Cooke passed away and somehow a basement marketing hack named Daniel Snyder became the new owner. His sale of the naming rights of Jack Kent Cooke Stadium to Fed Ex remains his biggest transaction. Redskins have gotten progressively worse and will continue to get worse. They are now the oldest team in the league with a 5'7" 150 lb kick returner as their only bonifide star. (Dick James anyone?)

We are on a fast track back to the 50s. Get used to it.

That's all well and good but the state of the roster when he finally gave up control is so bad, that it will take years and years to recover.

Maybe Kdawg and Bang. Other than that it is highly debateable. An overwhelming majority of posters, including myself, have no business telling a professional organization how to operate.

I agree. We as fans need to always look for and scream about quick fixes. I mean I'd love to punch in the face the fan that suggested we trade our 2nd and 3rd picks for a 34 year old QB that a division rival had no problem letting go of or the fan who suggested it was a good idea to resign Casey Rabach. Damn us fans for our stupid suggestions.

Rabach was considered a servicable C until for some reason this year he has sucked. McNabb was a good pickup no? How many more wins do you think we would have with Campbell at the helm? Or even Rex Grossman?

Or see Larry Johnson run the ball and ask why is this guy even in the NFL?

you are right about one thing... maybe you arent qualified to judge talent after all.... especially if you think rabach just started sucking this year....

of course i mean this with sarcasm, but how the hell did you figure rabach started sucking this year?

Rabach has been called a servicable, never said he was great or worth being a starter. I don't appreciate your vitriol and I am holding mine back.

Very few on this board are qualified to judge talent. Unless you personally have a job scouting on a team at a high level neither do you.

well guess what? we didnt hire YOU to tell us what we can or cant discuss past, present or future.

You dont care about the teams future? next season? never scratch your head over where its all going? well, ok. But if you dont care then it doesnt leave much to discuss does it? thread closed I think.

dude.. it took 10 years of wasting draft picks on people like Devin Thomas or trading them away for people like TJ Duckett and Jason Taylor to get this talentless and old team of misfits we have now.

It'll take Bruce Allen and MS at LEAST 3 years to empty the bin of the old misfits and fill it with some young talent again. And THAT is Snyderatto's fault. That you have to wait 3 more years to see anything that resembles a decent team ont he field.

Thanks for the kudos, homer, it's appreciated.

That said, I don't even know the inner workings of a NFL team. I can talk X and O's and techniques all day, but I probably have no business saying what an NFL team should be. Of course, I have an educated opinion on the matter... But that's about it.

A lot of football fans are critics. It is what it is. If we cannot critique our team, what will we talk about?

critique the team to smithereens, but some can't do that without saying the team, certain players and others fans Suck(s) etc. I guess it is fans that live in a fantasy world that the team was somehow better than the 4-12 Zorn era Skins were going to make a run. I am just happy that the team is competitive and is discovering talent here and there without blowing draft picks, but for that I have gotten called a world class loser and then some.

I don't think you can judge this FO and coaching staff for at least three years considering what they started with. The old saying stands, Critics *****, and *****'s are Critics.

QFT. I don't think anyone including Bang and Kdawg knows exactly what goes on behind closed doors at Redskins Park and they would admit as much. If the team took all of the suggestions on this board it would resemble a chinese fire drill on acid.
