Im sick and tired of hearing about "who the next head coach should be" or "who the skins need to draft"or "who we need to trade for" or "who we need to pick up in free agency" the the players and coaches on staff make up the redskins. Every sunday they go out and they play for the team we love. New talent is great, but posting threads about who needs to replace who means that we dont love the skins. We dont have faith in the team we watch every week. Because loving the skins is loving them for who they are and what they are capable of. Each season is different and comes with new expectations. But as soon as it seems that the skins are not meeting those expectations we all turn into general manager of the redskins and act like we know whats best for this team. Have faith in your team, have faith in the redskins! Be an extremeskin and a supporter of every player that puts on the jersey of the team you love! hail!

Honestly I avoid this place as much as I can when we lose because this place just makes loses so much worse. But I think you miss the point about what a forum is about, if not to discuss these things then what else? Have one topic that only allows you to cheer on the team then?

im not trying to eliminate discussion on what the team can do better. the title explains that i am fed up with the "get super bowl quick" schemes some fans come up with, some of which are absolutely ridiculous. im tired of fans who believe we are entitled to every big name free agent that becomes available.

Well I would agree with not looking for the quick fix. One thing that successful football teams have is continuity. We should be patient with this staff, but I think it is safe to say that they have their work cut out for them.

Your kinda confusing me, you want to stop people from getting away from the "one player away" attitude or to quote you "who the skins need to draft". Because they are not the same. What else are we gonna talk about in the off-season anyways, if we already have a legit coach and front office all we can talk about is free agents and draft picks, pretty much become wanna be scouts and GMs.

I don't like the mishaps on offense, defense, and special team either, but I do root for them every Sunday, regardless of their record. I already know that this team is not a playoff contender. This is an average team that has potential to be a very good team, even a playoff team, but they are not capable of that yet. They have meltdowns. They have miscues that prevent them from winning games. Bruce Allen and Mike Shanahan will retool and remake this team. I didn't expect much after a 4-12 season last year, even if it is Mike Shanahan's first year. But that's just it. It's Mike Shanahan's first year. And he and Bruce Allen will build this team into winners very soon. Hail!

If people don't like the results they are seeing from a particular player, coach, GM, owner, or even their politicians -- it's only human to call for changes. This Board is a forum where such possible changes can be raised, discussed, rebutted, and even dismissed by willing participants. How effective it is in obtaining those changes, is open to discussion -- it's not the owner's war-room, it's simply a Skins fans forum.

The kinds of discusssions you want to curtail on this Board are simply the kinds of discussions fans would have normally with each other. And they SHOULD have the right (respecting the Board's rules) to air their views in this marketplace of ideas.

If you are tired there is a sale on Sleep number beds on Cyber Monday. The front office has used "quick superbowl schemes" to sell tickets and push merchandise. And they made moves that made no sense like trading a 3rd rounder to prevent a slow running back from going to the eagles or wasting a 2nd rounder on Jason Taylor.

Fans from the start questioned the intelligence of the super smart for bringing in two over te hill Running backs an aging WR instead of younger players in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year not a reloading one on the offense as well as foolishly switching to a new scheme instead of just tweaking the current one.

Why shouldn't fans believe they are in the running for players that could help the team when Redskins One has always been used to make the big splash? Yeah I was one of those wanted Julius peppers here on the skins but knew that was not going to happen once the move was made to the 3-4.

Fans will be critical of their beloved team. There is Redskins Nation if you prefer a burgundy and gold sugar laced kool aid sipping Larry Michael-esque environment.

The Front office don't read them so who cares what we think? I agree with what your saying but there's nothing you can do about it. People have opinions, you have the option not to read them.

this guy understands what it is i was trying to say. and this is how fans around the league talk. not all fans think the solution to their problems is to throw money at a old, proven but washed up player. sometimes you just say "this is where we are struggling. this is what needs to be addressed. but our owner and coach got this one. i have faith in them"

well ive been a skins fan and talked to skins fans for alot longer than 29 days. ES cant show that. just like you have prob been a skins fan longer than since Aug 2006 right? and you had conversations with skins fans before that right?

That would require having faith in their talent evaluations. Offensively, I think the Shanahan's can evaluate talent just fine. Defensively I don't think Mike Shanahan, Jim Haslett or Bruce Allen are going to set the world on fire. So no, I don't have faith in them from a defensive standpoint.

I am not even one of the guys who ever creates threads about the draft or we should sign this player or that -- but I totally get why people do, its fun! Why not think about the draft -- just because Bruce Allen doesn't consult us about it, means that we shouldn't offer an opinion? with that logic, all the draft web sites should shut down today considering they aren't when its all said and done going to be making the picks.

I get this point in the context of those people that post that seem to have definitive opinions of how the Redskins should do things and imply they know what they are doing better than Shanny -- those frustrate me too -- but talking the draft, FA, why not? It's pure fun. and I don't think its news to anybody on this board that Shanny and Bruce Allen aren't going to consult with us about them.

The Redskins don't deserve us as fans. Sure if this was just a bad Season I'd be like "it's ok, we'll be better next year" but NO! It's the same ****ing story EVERY SINGLE YEAR! i do like draft talks. its opportunity to bring in a Redskin and hopefully a successful one. its the people who wanted TO, or Randy Moss while they were available that bug me. but Draft talks should be saved for the off season. we have a month left and 5 games. what can we do in those 5 games, with the players we have in place. to win those 5 games. believe it or not we can win our last 5 games. we have the ability and we have the people in place to do it, where can we improve? what do we need to focus on?

You know, I was like you once. Full of hope, give the coach or player a chance, keep your head up, we will get them next game and so on. But when you root for a team that consistently do the same things over and over again, from year to year and with different coaches then you have to look at what is the real problem. Yes everyone on here has a quick fix, win the Super Bowl theory, bring in this or that Head Coach or player, draft this or that player, or sign this or that FA but we all love the the Skins. We are just tired of the owner and every coach that comes in here that fails to improve any part of this team. We see glimpses of hope only to see this team lose to a team like the Lions, Rams, and the bottom dwellers of the league. So while we may gripe, complain and cuss like drunken sailors we pay our money, go to the games, or watch them faithfully every game and every year only to see them fail to make any progress back to the Super Bowl years. So everyone has an opinion and some of them get paid for them (former players turned TV analysts). So to tell us that you are tired of hearing the fans make all these statements is just too dam bad. If you followed this board and are now just starting to post here then you are just like everyone else with an opinion. We all have one and are entitled to it.
