Bubble Screen
Congrats man...enjoy home ownership and get started by raking those leaves. This is one thing I'll never understand. Why do people blow their leaves to the curb every week, or rake them like you stated, when you can just run over them with the lawnmower? Granted, I have a mulching mower. But still. Too much work to blow them each week. I understand that if you leave them on top of your grass for long periods they will kill your grass. But, other than that, I don't get it. Kosher Ham
I will never understand more than ten minutes worth of raking either. Seems silly.

Bubble Screen
Housing must be expensive in your area. Just an observation.
LD0506
Housing must be expensive in your area. Just an observation. I know right, that was my first reaction. We just bought a house this year and it was nowhere near that but it's nowhere near Falls Church either.

We just bought a house this year and it was nowhere near that but it's nowhere near Falls Church either. It definitley is a "location location location" type area. These are 50+ year old ramblers we are talking about In 2006, houses in this area were valued, and selling for 550k+. I am talking about 2 level, 3 bedroom 2 bath ramblers built post WW2 Getting this for right around 300k is a good deal, and on the lower end of the comps. I had been hoping to pay no more then 250k, but 250k brought out all the cash investors and I didn't have 250k sitting around
LD0506
Oh yeah, no criticism intended, I know what it's like around Falls Church. Sweet place, love it like it's your child. There is such a sense of utter satisfaction when you wake up there and realize "This is mine! All mine!" I can sympathize with the long drawn out process, we went through a short sale that dragged on forever, but that second when the keys hit our hands, it was all worth it. That was just my initial reaction, as I own a home for that same price, but much bigger, etc
