KDawg
Here's my thought process on this... There are really only two positions we haven't attempted to make the big splash at on this football team... Offensive line and wide receiver. Larry Fitzgerald isn't exactly young, but he's not old yet, either. He's a very, very good wide receiver. I would say yes to Fitzgerald if it's realistic without a major mortgaging of our future. If it involves draft picks, which as a trade it probably would, I don't know what I'd do. But if it were possible for a mid rounder and a player I'd say absolutely. He's someone we can build around for at least a half dozen years. The only other position I'd say yes to the big splash is at the offensive line, so long as they fit the scheme. Hollywood1127
Alright, we have another opportunity for wide receiver. Will Mike Shanahan take this one or will he pass it up like he did with Randy Moss? I love the routes that this guy can run. That and he can jump and catch the ball to stay on his feet for a few extra yards. I think this is exactly the man that McNabb needs to be throwing to. I can see the deep ball being thrown in a 3 deep coverage and Larry finding the soft spot in the coverage. Not saying that he will surpass Art Monk, but Larry is a plus to improving our passing game. Take a look at this highlight video. All these highlights are good. But the one that caught my eye was at 1:46-1:50. Look at how bad he exposed the defender in the coverage. The defender nearly stopped and Larry kept going for the wide open cath. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kv4e09fit6M&feature=fvst
rocskins
No more traded draft picks!!!!!!!!! We are not close to winning anything as we have all seen. Lets build a real team through the draft and get younger.

As for O-Line, couldn't we trade Portis for O-Linemen. Are there any teams that have a good O-Line, but no run game?

Hollywood1127
OKay, so that will be Larry, Randy, and Terrell that we have passed up on. If you are thinking of young talent then Shanahan should have not released Devin Thomas. So clearly, Shanahan is not going to do anything right when it comes to WR. @DCGoldPants
No No No. Without a rebuilt OL, we could have Jerry Rice, Art Monk and Marvin Harrison all in their primes and still be in trouble. Save the Quarterback....save the world.
GoDeep81
It sounds like he's wanting to be with a winning team, so I seriously doubt Larry would want anything to do with us.. So, thinking we have another opportunity here is stretching it a bit imo..
Burgold
Here's my thought process on this... There are really only two positions we haven't attempted to make the big splash at on this football team... You can argue that they didn't work out, but we'd tried for Laverneus Coles, Brandon Lloyd, Randall El to create a big splash. Even Santana was kinda splashy although it was a getting rid of our disgruntled guy for a high potential guy trade. Then we've spent high draft picks on Westbrook, Gardner, Thomas, Kelly, etc. Other than safety, I think the area we've tried to create the biggest splash in has been receiver. How sad is that

SonOfWashington
In fact, the Cardinals would be wise to consider moving Fitzgerald in the offseason for a first-rounder-plus package that would give them something on which to build, in lieu of seeing Larry finish out his contract and walk away for no compensation. Not on those terms. How sad is that I think we've tried to make splashes at wide receiver, but not necessarilyt he big splash. Not that I'm advocating that approach, but how many of those guys were really huge signings that we all expected to be absolute studs? I guess you could make an argument for Coles/Moss. Save the Quarterback....save the world. That's a pretty stupid statement. This Oline has had some major issues this year (though better than much of last year) but if you have Hall of Fame wide receivers, you have the ability to get the ball out extremely quickly, throw up passes that guys will go and get, whereas our guys are either too small or just not good enough to go up and get them, etc. There have been good teams that have had bad offensive lines or mediocre (at best) ones, including the early Patriots SB winners with Brady, and he DID NOT have Hall of Fame talent at wideout (or RB.) Hiro
No thanks, not for a first round pick. If we can get him as a free agent after the 2011 season, make it so. But I'd rather just go after a guy like Vincent Jackson in the offseason.
