Penn State is coming to Fed Ex??

Great, guess we'll have to sit through ANOTHER blowout as Haslett's D fails to stop a college offense........

:rotflmao:

*The article said Portis is in the twilight of his career. Twilight done struck Clinton's groin this afternoon in Nashville...................

:ols:

Say no to Royster.

Say yes to Ryan Mother ****ing Williams!

Royster is yet another disappointment from a Penn State RB....will not be a NFL caliber RB...in fact what RB since Curt Warner (the original Warner for the Seahawks) has done anything in the NFL....from Blair Thomas, DJ Dozier, Curtis Enis, Ka-Jana Carter etc........being a PSU fan I love me some Joe Pa football.....but there is a reason why we are known as LB U.....not RB U

*Lenny Moore---Hall of Famer........Franco Harris---Hall of Famer........Lydell Mitchell.........one of the greatest Colt running backs ever. .........Matt Shuey......star fullback on the great Bear teams of the 80's........Larry Johnson Jr (used up by the time got to DC) but two-time NFL rushing champion this decade.........Royster eclipsed all of them at Penn State. Doesn't mean that will equal NFL success. But he is certainly in the mold of Matt Forte and Ryan Grant.........and a major upgrade over the fragile Keiland Williams and the oft-injured Ryan Torain.

*Of the top 20 PSU rushers of all-time, KiJana hadn't the most physical gifts: size, speed and power. He was Adrian Peterson before Adrian Peterson. You can't blame him for getting hurt on Cincy's crappy artifical turf. Still was the first overall pick. Elite company...........

Larry Johnson in KC was pretty good for quite a few years.

Royster has the potential to be a decent backup in the NFL. But he lacks the burst and vision to be a quality every down back.

*With a quality offensive line (like in Green Bay or Pittsburgh), Royster could excel in the right system. Who was the last college runner to have three straight 1,000-yd seasons? Nearly 4,000 yds at a major program?

Most of those who could hit those numbers don't stay all four years. There's a reason Royster did. I'm on board with Wisniewski though.

*Royster has averaged 5.75 yards per carry over the course of his record-shattering career, playing behind arguably the worst PSU offensive line in the past 25 yards. No Mike Munchaks (Hall of Famer), Steve Wisniewski (future NFL HOF), Keith Dorney, etc.

*I was surprised Hunt didn't catch on after the Eagles cut him loose. He was another big back from Northern VA with good power/decent speed.

As I said in the article, Redd has some Curt Warner in him. Mini-version. But you are correct, even minor legal violations at PSU get you so buried in the doghouse that it takes FOREVER to emerge.........
