Tennessean: Albert Haynesworth is 'a Titan at heart'

Bull****. Most of the rest of the players, sans Carriker and Maake aren't made for the 3-4. Do you hear them pissing and moaning? Do you see them half-assing it on the field? He is what he is- a fat, lazy, POS that doesn't want to be here. I say trade him back to Tennessee in the offseason for whatever pick we can get and cut or losses.

I don't hear Big Al pissing and moaning right now. He's seems happy enough, under the limited circumstances in which he's playing. His teammates seem to note a change in him. But, given that he has 0 starts this season, I wouldn't think that everything is peaches and cream with him.

Also, not everyone leaves their old team acrimoniously. Haynesworth had some good years there, but he decided to go with the money. He may regret that decision in how he's being used here, but I don't see his comments being worth all that people are getting worked up about for.

So, is it his fault that the team switched to a defense which doesn't work to his strengths? Would we really be having this conversation if Shanahan didn't decide that the defense should play with a 3-4 front?

Does it really matter?

The Haynesworth "experiment" has been a disaster by most measures ... because he either can't or won't adjust to the new defensive scheme, because he has a horrible attittude, because he clearly came here for a paycheck and didn't want to be here, because he was in awful conditioning throughout most of the 2009-2010 season.

I don't think any of that has to do with Shannahan except for the scheme part and even if it is, he's a pro - he should deal with it or at least voice his displeasure and then man up.

Any way you cut it, AH being a Redskin hasn't been a good thing for the team.

At heart, Haynesworth is a less than professional player that is strictly out for himself in a team sport.

The only thing that woud be worse than trying to coach Haynesworth is trying to coach Haynesworth when he has been paid enough money to last the rest of his life. Oh, well, the Redskins have already done that haven't they?

"Coach Washburn helped me become the player I am. He instilled it in me,'' he said. "So you appreciate it. So I will never turn my back on that organization or anything like that.

I wouldn't let this jackass sniff the field in Tennessee. Shanahan should just tell him to go sit with his buddies on the Titan's sideline.

somebody had another thread going about how it felt "back in the day" and it reminds me of the post game stuff with dexter or mann bragging of bleeding burgandy and gold and not wanting to let the fans down.....heck, even our current coach seldom mentions the fans. he may make a reference to the team or 'dan' , hardly ever the fans...

wow, when will it ever get better?

Sometimes I just wish you wouldn't take the high road on an issue. I'd love to hear you complain about something just one time so I know you are human.

Does anyone really believe that we could get a third rounder for this guy? In my opinion we would be lucky to get a 5th for this ******* after everything that has happened over the past two years. His trade value is poo poo especially after last week. Hell I could be wrong but I just don't see anyone giving up anything more than a 5th.

You have a very forgiving heart man.

Myself, on someone that's repeatedly **** all over my team, his teammates, coaches, the game and most pertinently you, me and every last fan of this once proud organization who continue to keep him in riches he so scarcely deserves ..... not so much.

Hail.

Hows he repeatedly **** all over the team and coaches?? Last year is last year.. I've heard nothing but praise come from Shanny and the team about this guy, and I've not heard him say much of anything that I'd be offened by this year.. Hell, he even plays some decent ball when he gets in the game.. I dont know what the coaches have in mind for him next year, but one things for sure, they (Shanny/Co.) dont give a rats behind what the fans think about the situation, so wishing and betting him traded in the offseason is just dreaming.. If we dont get a decent offer/return for him, he'll be here, playing as a Redskin for years to come.. We've got serious (ie: real) issues in the talent department that I choose to waiste my time worring about.. Haynesworth interview's are small potatoes.. lol

Aw, it breaks my heart this team switched to a 3-4 defense that doesn't not work to Haynesworth's strengths. It truly, truly does.

Not.

The problem with this defense of Haynesworth is that a true athlete, check that, any human being with an ounce of integrity, someone who isn't a little yeotch, actually tries his/her hardest to perform well while working with coaches to get a trade to another team who will make him the best defensive player in the history of the NFL.

It truly amazes me to see performances like his MNF nap and say that Shanny's "ego" is truly the issue at play in this whole cluster. :doh1:

year before he left TN i used to go to his radio program at a bar here in nashville. there was always *talk* about him leaving and he used to always say the same line: "i better get paid." from the times i talked to him one-on-one he seemed like a nice enough dude, and didn't ever really gangster his lingo/actions up.

me thinks he got paid early and a lot by you guys, and he just decided he didn't have to put it all in.

(yes first post. non-trolling Titan fan here that is seeming to have issues updating a custom avatar)
