Tennessean: Albert Haynesworth is 'a Titan at heart'

I don't have a problem with him feeling that way by why does he have to let the media know? It's like he's trying to get a rise out of us fans. Just when the flames are starting to dwindle he runs and throws another log on the fire.

The Skins need to just accept defeat with Albert and get what they can for him in the offseason. Forget about the money, he's never going to be worth it as a Redskin. Keeping him around because he wouldn't give back the money isn't doing anyone any good.

He went to college there and played 7 years of pro ball there. He's also had his most success there, by far. His comments aren't over the top. London Fletcher would say the same thing about St. Louis. There have been plenty of interviews with McNabb speaking of Philly the same way. It's only getting spun as a negative because it's Haynesworth. He can do no right.

I wouldn't be shocked if McNabb felt the same about Philly. This is a non-story.

Personally, I'd rather have this than Antonio Pierce's endless vendetta against the Redskins. At some point, you let it go and move on.

Who cares. The sooner we cut the fat piece of **** the better. I thought he may have turned the corner and been ready to contribute. Then Monday night happens and he decides to do the worm on the middle of the football field on national television while Vick runs for a TD. Same old Fat Lazy ****.

We need Albert to play lights-out the rest of the season so his trade value is at a maximum when we dump his ass on some other team for a high draft pick.

What a disaster the Haynesworth experiment was to this team.

So, is it his fault that the team switched to a defense which doesn't work to his strengths? Would we really be having this conversation if Shanahan didn't decide that the defense should play with a 3-4 front?

Have you forgotten the countless debates on here LAST season Jason about the unconditioned, unprofessional A. Haynesworth Esq., who's, and I use this term VERY loosely, "effort" left a LOT to be desired a lot of the time. (Que, present poster I'm responding to excepted before he jumps, those that still defend the faat man with "look how our sack total went up last year with him in the team.).

Hail.

And in response, he actually came in here in much better shape when many were doubting he was doing much of anything. I didn't think Big Al was too smart in how he handled some of his offseason, but I can also understand his frustration.

Since some of the early frustrations, he's pretty much done everything that has been asked of him. Then, all it takes is one play on the football field and some comments to have the fans go on hating him.

Isn't that the problem though? Why come out and say something like this publicly? It's fine to feel that way, infact I'd think he was full of it if he tried to say he didn't, but you know this is going to be taken as another negative so just keep it to yourself. Not Haynesworth though, he just has to keep fanning the flames. Unless you think he really had no idea how Redskins fan's would feel about this. Maybe he thought this would help ease the pain for us after the Monday beating.

You have a very forgiving heart man.

Myself, on someone that's repeatedly **** all over my team, his teammates, coaches, the game and most pertinently you, me and every last fan of this once proud organization who continue to keep him in riches he so scarcely deserves ..... not so much.

Hail.

As long as he came in here and did what he was asked to do, I wasn't going to hold it against him. While I think he should have been here to get aclimated to the new defense and have more of an effect on it, he does seem to be doing what he needs to be doing now to contribute to this team.

How about we look at what Vonnie Holliday has to say about him:

"I think that a lot of things have happened with Al over the course of this preseason, this season, and what I've seen is a switch. A light has gone on, something has changed him, in terms of his approach to work, his approach to what's really important, his approach to how he's going to go through the rest of the season. And it's been pretty impressive."

I like seeing that.

Bull****. Most of the rest of the players, sans Carriker and Maake aren't made for the 3-4. Do you hear them pissing and moaning? Do you see them half-assing it on the field? He is what he is- a fat, lazy, POS that doesn't want to be here. I say trade him back to Tennessee in the offseason for whatever pick we can get and cut or losses.
