Rdskn4Lyf21
Full article: http://www.tennessean.com/article/20101118/SPORTS01/11180310/1027 "Albert Haynesworth may be a member of the Washington Redskins, but a part of him never left the Tennessee Titans. "I will always be a Titan at heart,'' Haynesworth said by phone Wednesday night. "I can't deny that.'' After seven seasons with the Titans, the former University of Tennessee star signed a reported $100 million contract with the Redskins in 2009. He has failed to regain the All-Pro form he had with the Titans, however, and he has clashed with new Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan. The Redskins considered trading him to the Titans earlier this season, but Haynesworth stopped short of saying he wished it had happened. "I didn't want to add any fuel to the fire,'' said the ninth-year defensive tackle, who returns to Nashville on Sunday when the Redskins play the Titans. Still, Haynesworth said he misses his "brothers" from his time with the Titans as well as defensive line coach Jim Washburn. "Coach Washburn helped me become the player I am. He instilled it in me,'' he said. "So you appreciate it. So I will never turn my back on that organization or anything like that. "Now I'm not going to say everything was always smooth there. It wasn't. But what is ever smooth? Overall, though, it was great time in my life. Nashville is a second home. My kids still live there and if they are not cheering for daddy, they are looking at a Titans game.''" ....it's funny, he was almost winning me back before Monday night. Whatever his reasons are, :finger:

rockfan7224
Between that, and the nap on the field..........I just don't know what to think of Fat Al. One day he's on fire, and the other day he says stuff that makes you go Hmmmm
Hitman21ST
As long as it doesn't affect his play, I really don't care. All he's saying is that he's glad the Titans gave him a chance and he's not going to forget that. No real story here
Homercles82
He is such an enigma.
Boss_Hogg
he's not a football player. He's a large man with unbelievable strength and athleticism. I'm not at all surprised with this article, it's obvious he does not like it here.
authentic
For a 3rd round pick, he can go right on back home. Actually i would pack his suitcase for him, free of charge.
Buzzard05
I am sure Coach Washburn loves being called the man responsible for one of (if not THE) laziest players in the NFL. I mean, after all... Albert said Washburn was responsible for making him the player he is today.

War Paint
You know what? I think we're going to see a Randy Moss type reaction with Albert Sunday, where he gives a ton a praise to the Titans and talks about how much he misses those guys lol. Uggh.. I'm afraid of that too, but I'm hoping (and it is a long shot) that he plays his *** off trying to show them what they are missing. hehehe, then maybe we can trade him back to TEN next season. bird_1972
We need Albert to play lights-out the rest of the season so his trade value is at a maximum when we dump his ass on some other team for a high draft pick. What a disaster the Haynesworth experiment was to this team.

TheismannQuote
At this point - does it even matter? He's a situational defensive tackle in a fledgling defense making too much money. I couldn't care less which team he favors. He has 10 other guys on the field with him that should care more about where his heart is than we do. Boss_Hogg
Can't we just release him already? Go let him sleep on the ground elsewhere. It's obvious he hates it here.

VA_Titans
I know there was a time Fisher wanted him back, if there is a way we could get him cheaper I could see him back in Tennessee next season. IMHO I believe that would be best for him to, he respect Fisher and Jim Washburn is one of the best D line coaches in all of football he'll get Big Al back.... IDK what it would take to get him though, maybe a 3rd and pick up some of the Money thats owed to him, IDK????
Commander PK
The more he runs his mouth and under performs, the more the point will be driven home to Dan Snyder that he has no business making football decisions. (Vinny's gone, thank god, so now it's just Dan left from that time) It's just a matter of time before Haynesworth is gone, and then we can move on with a player who wants to be here. Haynesworth has become the ugly footnote to everything that has happened during Snyder's tenure until Bruce Allen was hired.
