Some interesting truth on McNabb!

McNabb played on the same team as Vick last season with the same players, same system (that he was in for like 10 years), and really didn't look as good as Vick has. McNabb is a locker room distraction. That's why Andy Reid and the Eagles let him go. His I'm the man attitude wore thin in Philly.

Now let's see what he has done this year, his stats are horrible, he thinks he doesn't have to practice as hard as others, he is to slow to help our offensive line, and is still better than what we have had in the last ten years. Now thats scary!!

0-10 for 3rd down and 3 interceptions (that was only last night). Why not bring in grossman for third downs only. Hell if shannahan is asking female reporters for ideas why not start with third down help to sustain drives.

After last night I am in a lost for words when it comes to this team these bonehead ideas, is all that I can come up with, but the stats and truth dont lie we are horrible on 3rd down and have not gotten better throughout the year; instead we are headed back to the bottom of the barrel.

You should stop starting threads.

Really.

Don't write in them if you don't like them critic. Who gave you the authority to say who writes threads or not.

In fact what are you doing here on this site if you don't want to read negative threads and ideas after a game like last night. So go hug your tree care-bear, and write about how good the redskins are.

McNabb has a QB rating in the 90s and took the Eagles to the playoffs. No one has looked as good as Vick has this season, including Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

McNabb is a locker room distraction. That's why Andy Reid and the Eagles let him go. His I'm the man attitude wore thin in Philly.

Uh, what has McNabb done to be labeled a "locker room distraction," particularly in DC? Everything I've heard suggests that the players all respect him.

Now let's see what he has done this year, his stats are horrible, he thinks he doesn't have to practice as hard as others, he is to slow to help our offensive line, and is still better than what we have had in the last ten years. Now thats scary!!

You know his practice habits? Please share your insights, or are you relying on third hand media reports?

Have you seen the O-line? Apparently, not, since you think it's the best we've had in a decade. Or the receivers? Or the running backs? McNabb has struggled, but it's pretty difficult to thrive when your oline can't pass protect for **** and your receivers keep dropping balls.

0-10 for 3rd down and 3 interceptions (that was only last night). Why not bring in grossman for third downs only.

Wait, so not only do you think that our oline is the best we've had in a decade, but you also think Grossman would fare better under pressure on 3rd down than McNabb? Okay.

None of this is "truth."

And the idea about putting Rex Grossman in on 3rd downs is borderline retarded. How about since we have signed a proven, veteran QB to a contract, we make some moves in the offseason and build around him?

Maybe get him an offensive line that doesn't suck? Maybe a WR that can catch the ball and maybe a young RB with breakaway speed?

Maybe give him a defense that can stop big plays? Or stop any plays for that matter.

Nothing like starting a stupid thread, and then whining about it when people tell you it's a stupid thread.

By all accounts, everywhere except Terrell Owens, McNabb is a great teammate, and a consumate professional.

The Eagles didn't trade him because of his attitude, they traded him because that is what successful teams do these days if they want to remain successful.

Case in point, over the last ten years, the teams you could point to as annual powers would be New England, Philly, Indy and Pittsburgh. They are the models.

And what do they all (except Indy) do in common? They pull the trigger on players and make trades when value is high. They do this because they are shrewd in their managing of draft picks, and most importantly, they maintain consistency of philosophy.

This allows them to draft or acquire a younger replacement for an elder veteran, which in turn allows them to trade the veteran for more picks.

Look over their transaction histories for the last ten years. They get rid of players who are seemingly the 'heart and soul' of the team. In Philly's case- McNabb, Dawkins, Bobby Taylor, Hugh Douglas .. New england trades Richard Seymour and doesn't miss a beat. The Steelers constantly lose linebackers we think are indispensable,, they go elsewhere and underachieve, while the steelers keep on keepin' on.

Now, it depends on what you want as to whether it's worth it. Philly isl ooking for a super bowl, and are in position. for us we need stabilizing, and mcnabb fits the bill.

Look at the good quarterbacks in the league they have fire in their eyes when they lose or miss a good play. For example, Vick getting mad at the kick returner when he fumbled, Brady getting mad at his offense when he doesn't convert a 3rd down, Brees's pre-game ritual, Mannings assertive look and frustration when he doesn't make the play.

Instead we have McNabb who claps when he is down 35 points what a true leader lol, the guy is a joke.

Dude, you're all over the map. So far you've said he's not as good as Vick, he's a locker room distraction, he's a poor leader, he's "too slow to help our offensive line," and Shanny should swap him for Rex Grossman on third down. How about making a coherent argument instead of rambling and saying he's the worst quarterback of all time? It might elicit more thoughtful replies and less hostility.

There is no "truth" in your post. It is only your opinion which is based on absolutely nothing. In fact, interviews with NFL players/coaches and reporters covering McNabb have said his work ethic is exactly the opposite of what you suggest.

Hey, everyone cant "back into" a fenom QB like MikeVick.. He was supposed to be a washed up, 2nd string thug, yet he got a shot and is playing lights out at the moment.. On the other hand, Donovan is no slouch either.. He may not be playing to his potential right now, but not many on the Skins team are.. And where are you getting this "he's a locker room distraction", "doesnt practice hard", and "is too slow to help the offense" nonsense? That's just garbage talk.. So your entire post boils down to Vick is better than McNabb at the moment.. Big deal, Vick is currently playing better than any QB in the league.. No real news there either..

"Self-policing" threads is part of ESer's duty, here. If you took the time to understand the rules, the spirit of them, and the "culture" here, for lack of a better word, you'd know that, rather than wantonly starting bad threads left and right in your time here.

But everyone else in this thread has commented enough on your "interesting truths", so there shouldn't be much else that needs to be said :ols:

You're thoughts are not special. You have a poorly articulated argument that should really just be post #1007 in the other thread. The one that everyone glances at and decides is just more thoughtless dribble.

However, start a thread and clutter up our board with this crap, and all of a sudden your problem becomes a public one. Do it again, you're gone permanently. Try me.
