Tom [Giants fan]
"Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins solidified their quarterback corps, signing former Dallas Cowboys backup Clint Stoerner to the practice squad, as anticipated. Miami coaches had auditioned Stoerner, a three-year veteran, last week." Does this really do anything to solidify their QB situation? Let's think for a second here what would happen if the situation arose for the Dolphins forcing Stoerner into action for a period of time. Would they really win? Definitely a bad way to announc this signing by ESPN.

bulldog
Stoerner is another preaseason hero in the mold of Wuerffel. A couple of years ago he threw for 250 yards and that has kept him around ever since. These guys are a dime a dozen.

DeathByLinebacker
I'll always remember Clint Stoerner as the guy that handed U of Tennessee one of their games when they went undefeated in '98. All Arkansas had to do was get a couple of first downs, but Stoerner scrambled and literally laid the ball on the ground as he was trying to maintain his balance. Jimbo
That was the year Tennessee won it all I think. Stoerner literally gave the game away a la Stephen Davis.
