Skadden
According to Grant Paulsen, whether Trent and/or Jamal plays this Sunday, will be known much more in practice tomorrow. However, he stated that Brown could probably play (and wanted to go in against GB) and that Williams would too. All in all, at this time, he sounded pretty optimistic about both of them playing, but tomorrow will be key. He also noted that the Colts run defense is susceptible to giving up huge chunks of yards and that the Redskins should focus in on the run game. Also, the type of pass defense that works best against Peyton is the 3-4 type of defense that Pitt runs. It gets pressure on the QB fast and forces him to make a decision quickly. Hopefully we can do this with four people and have Rak rush the QB without getting held (or at least getting penalties called when he does). kubstix
This is big........I haven't been huge on Brown as he has given up some sacks and lots of pressures, Trent has been playing lights out. I'm definetely more concerned about Trent as well. Watching him in Fedex field when he came back in he did nothing but limp. I give him much respect for coming back in, but we need to get him healthy or it could be a long year playing Trent Cole, Ware, Osi, Jared Allen, and a few others later in the year. Skadden
Colts rule out LB Kavell Conner and S Bob Sanders. Not playing on the turf in Lucas Oil Field either. Also talking about when/if McNabb will sign an extension. Paulsen thinks it'll get done. If so, GET IT DONE!
kevinklein
I don't know if Bob Sanders can even really be considered a Colt anymore. He's much more of a macho cheerleader these days.

Skadden
Also hearing that Armstrong has overtaken Galloway on the depth chart, much I predicted to Murf Sunday after looking at the stat sheets. Wow, that's great! He deserves it. He's as fast if not faster than Galloway -- and much younger. On that 48 yard TD play this past Sunday, it was AA who fought for an underthrown ball after he had beaten his defender.
gutlead74
We can beat any team in the NFL! We can lose to any team in the NFL as well. It's a cliche I know but it's very applicable in this situation.

gutlead74
On the WR note IMO Fred Davis would be a good option for a WR in some sets. I think he has the athletic ability to do it and as most defenses will do the packers subbed more beef when we had both TEs in. Fred in space vs a LB or a CB is a win. PS anyone else notice the eagles running that same play action we ran against them where Davis turned to soon and McNabb over threw him, football coaches are thieves! lol! All in all, at this time, he sounded pretty optimistic about both of them playing, but tomorrow will be key. Having both back and at leastable to play will go along way against Freeney and Mathis, who really are the only two playmakers that the Colts have on offense left. He also noted that the Colts run defense is susceptible to giving up huge chunks of yards and that the Redskins should focus in on the run game. Colts run a 4-3 and an undersized one at that, which is a recipe for racking up allot of yards against them on the ground. It will be interesting to see what the defensive scheme that the Skins will employ Sunday night. They can either play cover 2 shell, rush 4 and take away all of Peyton's deep routes or they can play cover zero, rush everyone and hope they can get to him in time or cause him to make mistakes. I personally don't think that the Skins have the pass rushers or the front 3 DL needed to get to Manning as the Steelers do but do have the personnel to mimic what the Chiefs did last week. HigSkin
Weren't we suppose to be able to run against the Packers too? Just saying, no games are easy and Manning could easily beat us with his arm alone. One common theme today from McNabb and Armstrong interviews, was the necessity to sustain drives and keep Manning off the field.

Oldskool
What did the Chiefs do last week that frustrated the Colts so much? And how physical of a team are they? Manning has the ability to read what the defense is lined up as and audible a new play to counter what was being shown. He also tends to use all of the 25 second clock before he snaps the ball so he can see what the defense is showing. The Chiefs by design were waiting until at least the 18th-20th second of the clock to set in their defense, so that Manning would not have a chance to audible. The Chiefs also played nickle and dime all game long, having a SS and a LB shadow Dallas Clark and daring the Colts to run the ball to beat them. Manning was basically frustrated almost all game and if the Chiefs had any type of passing game they would have beaten Indy.

I think that most teams that have a QB that can audible do have 2 plays out of the huddle. What Manning can do is spot how a formation is lined up and call a variation of the set play called out of the huddle or simply switch it to run/pass. RenegadeTK
How much have your percentages for winning this game differed when you first saw this game on the schedule and today? I'd say it went from 15% (mostly based on the "any given sunday" theory) to about 55%. That 55% would grow if i know for a fact that Trent is starting on the o-line.
