EnFoRcEr_uPu
I was looking at some of the stats throughout the division and thought the below stats were pretty telling about the offenses in the division compared to the rest of the conference. (NFC Rankings/Yards) Passing- 2. Tony Romo sits to pee - 1,346 3. Donovan McNabb - 1,315 4. Eli Manning - 1,302 Receiving- 1. Miles Austin(DAL) - 474 3. Hakeem Nicks(NYG) - 409 4. Santana Moss(WAS) - 408 5. DeSean Jackson(PHI) - 361 ** Not sure just how much this really means, but I found it pretty interesting.

benskins26
Wow, that's pretty impressive for what a lot of people are calling a weak NFCE.

Unforgiven
I'm more interested in scoring than yards (and for QBs also interested in INTs). Tony Romo sits to pee (in 4 games) - 7 TD / 5 INT Donovan McNabb - 4 TD / 3 INT Eli Manning - 8 TD / 8 INT Miles Austin (4 games) - 2 TD Hakeem Nicks - 6 TD (wow..) Santana Moss - 1 TD DeSean Jackson - 2 TD Edit: Just to clarify, the reason I'm more interested in scoring than yards is the fact the Redskins defense is 32nd in YPG allowed, yet they are 9th in PPG. Tom [Giants fan]
5 of those INT"s for Eli came off of the hands of Giant WR's and were in no way his fault.

McNabb's last INT was a hail mary at the end of the game and shouldn't count then either.

Frostx08
Our offense hasn't even been clicking that much yet. Can you imagine what Moss's and McNabb's numbers would look like if we had a Roy Williams and Dez Bryant like receiver to complete our receiving corp?? iMeast
The passing game stats say that the Washington Redskins can play with everyone in the NFC (B)East. Hopefully they can continue and even improve the rest of the season. HTTR
ILoveMySkins
I find it more interesting how the division has gone from being known for pounding the ball and playing great defense to high flying passing offenses. I guess maybe it's just more the Giants and Skins that have gone through the changes but this division is known more for it's QB's and WR's than it is it's RB's and defenses. Potato Sack
I really believe Jason Garret and the Cowboys are relying too heavily on the pass. I understand they have a really good QB in Romo sits to pee, but it seems like they abandon the run way too early. Indeed, we have also been struggling to get our running game going, but the Cowgirls are usually known for smacking teams in the mouth with Barber and Jones. I've followed their games this season (initially to trash talk on the discussion boards on NFL.com), but it amazes me how many of their drives rely on the pass. The team that ends up winning this division will be the team that showcases the run and begins to control the clock. If we can continue to win games, I believe the battle will be with the Giants. There's a love affair in Dallas with Romo sits to pee, and that will be their downfall. Taking a look at the running game (I totaled the top two backs on each team in terms of yards): Giants (Bradshaw/Jacobs): 621 Eagles (McCoy/Vick): 552 Redskins (Portis/Torain): 351 Cowboys (Barber/Jones):

Because even when he's struggling they insist on giving him more passes. Almost like when you play Madden, and you throw some early picks and can't get your QB going. So the rest of the game you spend throwing the ball trying to bring your QBs stats back up. That's the same feeling I get when I see the way they overuse Romo sits to pee. Also had to laugh at how they were forcing it to Dez in the game against us. It's like they were trying to get his stats up so he would look better. Pretty damn weak. Stats in the first quarter of the season are a little misleading because there is an adjustment period. Some teams capitalize on the slow starts of better teams. Some players start faster than others but that isn't an indication of the final stats at the end of the season. Stats are misleading in a lot of ways. One thing about passing stats....It's usually an indication that you don't have a good OL or affective running game. Being one dimensional isn't a good stat in the NFL. You can't win a championship being one dimensional.

And it almost appeared as if the Cowboys couldn't stand that McNabb had the type of numbers he had against the Packers. I know it's far-fetched and, clearly, they aren't padding stats based off another divisional rival's QB's performance, but couldn't you see Jerry Jones phoning down to the sideline's just before the game? "Yeh, look, McNabb had a big game. Make sure Romo sits to pee throws well over 400 yds. Running game be damned!"
