Tom [Giants fan]
Eagles | McDougle to Miss First Two Games - from www.KFFL.com Sat, 30 Aug 2003 14:56:19 -0700 Philadelphia Eagles DE Jerome McDougle's (leg/hip) MRI revealed a high ankle sprain, a bone bruise in the hip and a mild MCL sprain in his knee. He will miss the first two games of the regular season. I can't imagine him only missing two games with a high ankle sprain. Those are the ones that seem to keep guys out for weeks. Eagles_Legendz
I'm just glad he's not out for longer- the replay made the injury look very bad. On a side note, I'm surprised that Watson had no takers in regards to a trade. Apparently, the Eagles just sent Freddie Milons (WR who was competing for Eagles 6th WR slot) to the Steelers for what appears to be a conditional 5th rder. TexasEagle
Depends on the severity of the sprain, Tom. I'm surprised it's not a longer absence. I'm a bit surprised they're keeping Morey (who I think sucked it up all preseason - must have made a huge splach on ST) and traded Milons.
EagleSteve
I'm sure it's going to be re-evaluated over the next few weeks. He may miss more - hopefully not. The Eagles have gone from deep at DE to thin in the space of 2 pre-season games. Still, with the team's early bye in week three, he has almost a month to heal. Oldskool
If this injury happened during the regular season, he'd be out for the first quarter of the season. Luckily for him, he injured himself in preseason. He should be back by week 3 but he and the training staff are gonna have to be careful cos sprains dont fully heal during the season, only after season is over. tenaciousd
It'll be fun to watch ND Kalu play 30 snaps a game. He'll be two inches shorter by week 4.
