2 Mosses on one team? What could have been?

Why did Snyder not offer up a second rounder for him........................cut Galloway.....................pick up Moss. McNabb could throw deep to 2 different Moss'es. That would have been sweet. God knows we need another receiver on this team.

What are your thoughts? :evilg:

Moss "plays when [he] wants to play." Does anyone honestly think he would have enough respect for this franchise to go out there and give it 100%? Moss is only going to put forth effort if he is on a SB contender. We are not that team. We would be getting the Oakland Randy Moss, not the NE version. Waste of a draft pick.

x2 Fdallas. We need to get some youth on this team, now granted Galloway is collecting Social Security but do not give away any more draft picks on aging stars. This is going to take some time. While we may be competitive this year, I think we lack the pieces to go all the way. We need to see big picture.

I dont want to see anymore trades. we are what we are right now. if this team manages to pull a Super Bowl out of their collective asses, then awesome. If we go 8-8, im OK with that too. I dont want VJax, I dont want Moss...I want to start drafting bodies and building this team the proper way.

a 2nd rounder for moss = retarded. The guy is getting up in age. Yeah we have problems at Wr but we need to find a long term solution not a quick fix. Didn't New England get him for a 4th or 5th rounder from Oakland? Now he is worth a 2nd? No thanks

While I agree on your position I don't think the compensation NE paid is relevant. They got Randy at a bargan price because he "lost a step" (gave up) in Oakland. No one in the league save a few individuals thought he was going to regain his pre trade form. Instead he bounced back even better. At this point his trade value is higher than it was when NE stole him away.

As I said in my previous post that value applies to SB contenders. Randy would look at us as Oakland 2.0 and shut it back down untill we trade/release him.

>> This would have confused Sam Huff too much. BTW, I think the plural of Moss is Mosses...sort of like the plural of boss is bosses...this would have really confused Sam who probably would call them Meeses.

This is why the Patriots are contenders every year. They got rid of Moss in his last year of his contract and got a third for him. What a steal for the Patriots. Yeah, Moss is still a good player, but he wasn't going to resign and he's not getting any younger. The Patriots do this year in and year out. Get rid of the old while they can and pick up draft picks in return. The fact that we haven't done this is the reason we rebuild year after year. We do not have a solid rotation of old players head out with fresh, newer players coming in. I'm a big fan of the Patriot model and can only hope that we can get there one day.

You know you are taking about the same Randy Moss that quit on the Vikings when the Skins were winning several years ago and walked off the field to the locker room before the end of the game.

LOL, I was in section 123 row 2 near the end of the game with the Raiders the following season and was giving him grief about that -- "Hey Moss, you better leave now so you can beat the traffic!!" , "Hey Moss, are you gonna stay for the WHOLE game this time?? " He kinda chuckled and held up a 2 finger peace sign.
