The Tris
Always liked this guy, if he could ever stay healthy he could be a contributor. Sick freshman year at Miami (800 rush, 200 receiving, 5 TDs) then had ankle and neck injuries that plagued him the next few years. Cut from two PS already (IND, NE), both RB needy teams... authentic
Seems like he's been on the radar since the draft... On which running backs might suit Mike Shanahan's preference for late-round backs:"What he likes are those one-cut, downhill guys that are in that 200-215 pound range. Ben Tate from Auburn, 213 pounds. Charles Scott from LSU is a little bigger than that. Chris Brown from Oklahoma, he's a 5-10, 205-pound tailback. Javarris James from Miami, 6-feet, 213. Those are some of the guys that he likes. And I'll give you one smaller guy: Shawnbrey McNeal, who was a transfer from Miami to SMU. He's only 5-10, 190 but real quick and catches the football extremely well."

KDawg
Welp...who knows? Hopefully he's fast and durable. Fast isn't a word I'd use to describe Javarris. Although, he's not slow, either. He's definitely a one cut down hill runner, though.
VaSkinsNut
Welp...who knows? Hopefully he's fast and durable. 4.59 and 4.63 In the 40 and quite the injury history. But who knows, track speed and football speed are entirely different.

THEREALTOR1
What do you know, we were just talking about him in the CP thread last night. I said I hoped they brought him in just to take a look, and sure enough. I feel like VC, browsing message boards and picking up players

Brandon Lloyd Christmas
did we have to drop someone from the practice squad? or maybe were cutting thomas and promoting austin to the active roster?
Voice_of_Reason
I was really hoping we would get out of the business of signing guys from the U.They tend to be headaches. Not all, there are some notable exceptions, but most.
Snarky
Watch the combine footage. It isn't the flat-out speed that's intriguing. It's the way he cuts. Zone-blocking back for sure!
KDawg
Doesn't look like it: Interesting. Keiland Williams was resigned to the practice squad this week, yet he's not on the redskins.com roster at all. At least I understood he was resigned. They might be signing him to the active roster?
