Schefter Twitter: RB Lynch traded to the Seahawks

Wonder what the compensation was....

If it was less than a 5th, and Lynch explodes in Seattle, I'll be a little angry.

I would have liked him, especially if we could send players rather than picks.

On the other hand, if its a 5th or higher, I think there's a chance that that pick could be used to find a young RB in the draft who Shanahan would like more, to hopefully pair with a healthy Torain.

Lynch will be solid in Seattle. But I hope they still keep Forsett as the starter. He's gonna be a great RB in this league.

As for Buffalo, they better be starting CJ Spiller for the rest of the year. Dude has talent, he just needs to be in consistently to show it. Man what I would give for us to have CJ on our team.

How can this be a good move for Seattle? he's not that good, and they already have good RB depth.

Julius Jones is terrible, Leon Washington is nothing more than a 3rd down back/kick returner, and Forsett is a good 3rd down back/change of pace back. Lynch is an every down back that can get the tough yards. Forsett is 198lbs, Washington is 203lbs, and Lynch is 215.

**** ! ! ! Damn you Green Bay.

I was certain the Bills were gonna trade Lynch to a RB hungry team like GB so I held onto him in fantasy. Even put up with his "-1.2 pts" last week. He was gonna my mid season steal.

Let's see how he does with the 'Hawks

I think Lynch basically takes over in Seattle. He produced well in Buffalo considering how terrible they are and that he was also stuck in a timeshare with Fred Jackson.

The Buffalo timeshare is exactly why I came into this thread. Is Lynch really a feature back? I know he was big coming out of college and had a nice rookie season (I think he got hurt late in that year but not sure)- however, he never could "unseat" Jackson after that and I just ignored him in FF drafts the last 2 years. I'm sure he'll benefit from Seattle's improved o-line but I'm still skeptical of Marshawn Lynch.

Marshawn Lynch-RB-Seahawks Oct. 5 - 11:13 pm et

The Green Bay Press-Gazette confirms that the Packers were "in on the bidding" for Marshawn Lynch.

GM Ted Thompson wasn't willing to go to a third-round pick. For all we know, he could have been offering a fourth, but the Bills figured Seattle's pick would be quite a bit higher in the same round. It's hard to fault Thompson for his staunch refusal to part with draft picks, but he's not exactly "gunning" for the title this year.

Buffalo's OL has been hideous for years. I'm not surprised that he wasn't getting the yards or really giving a **** about playing in Buffalo.

Now that's not to say that Seattle's OL is much better, but a change of scenery and having lesser talent behind him should see Lynch being the feature back there for a number of years. With Seattle's OL in rebuilding mode, he should be in a better position by next year.

Didn't Lynch go to Cal? If so, that would give the Seahawks two running backs from Cal, and a head coach from USC haha.

As for Buffalo, and starting Spiller. I doubt Spiller now becomes the featured back. They still have Fred Jackson. And he's a baller. Spiller might not end up the starter there until later in the season. He will still see time at returning kicks, also.

Jones was realeased. No surprise there. He didn't really do much. Not sure if this is a good trade or not. Forsett will likely still end up the main guy, imo.
