Devastate
A friend of mine who isn't into football very much bought me a very expensive Redskins jersey with 28 on it but she had my last name put on it.. I dunno, I feel weird wearing 28 without Green displayed on the back.. Maybe it seems a little to self promotional to me, it just feels very odd for me to wear it, am I being weird? AsburySkinsFan
Wear it and be happy, some of us would kill for a gift like that.

hockeysc23
Wear it and be happy! Or display it in your room. You don't owe D.Green anything, while he was a redskin great his number is not off limits. If you like it wear it and be proud you got an awesome gift. SonOfWashington
I actually did the same exact thing. I got a customized #28 jersey with DC on the back a couple years ago. Turns out the numbers on it were destroyed after one wash. I guess it wasn't meant to be.
chipwhich
I wouldn't wear it. People with customized name jerseys AND people with the REALLY bad unauthorized jerseys make me shutter Not all unauthorized's are bad. You know those jerseys with the oft color red, incorrect stripes, over sized numbers, odd shape. I still remember an older guy mocking my Riggins jersey (which was bought from the Redskins store) while he sported what he called an "Authentic" with stitched on numbers. What he had on was one of the worst illegally made jerseys I have seen. I didn't even say anything, just laughed inside. If you are going to wear a jersey, do it right. CrypticVillain
You should wear it. A lot of people are going to say, who the hake is "yourlastname"? And does he even still play for the Redskins?
CRogersGuy
I got a customized 28 jersey from my Mom for Christmas a few years back with my last name on it. I wore it a lot. Of course, a few years later Carlos Rogers was drafted. So I now have a 22 jersey with Rogers on the back, and a 28 jersey with Rogers on the back. Johns Bass
It is a wonderful gift and you should enjoy it. Besides, how many people (with lives) actually notice the names on the back of the jersey when you are out and milling about? I wear a Skins jersey everyday they play; most people recognize that it is the Skins and if they know the number they just assume that is the name on it. (No, I do not have a personalized one.) DeanCollins
Do you have an embarrassing last name like Pudpounder? :pfft:
Bubble Screen
I wouldn't wear it. And I think its stupid to put your own name on a team's jersey. But it wasn't your idea, I know.
