We are one blown holding call away from 0-3.

Umm, not sure what else to say.

I think that the thread title is acurate and not misleading.

I guess that we have more needs than I realized.

Rebuilding stinks.

I hope that we are a .500 team, as we have played 6 straight passable quarters, and 6 straight aweful quarters.

Why oh why did my momma let me become a Skins fan?

Or we're one time out and one pep talk away from being 3-0, so there ya go.....fixed..

Yeah it's time to just say we deserve to be 1-2, nothing else. Wins and losses are all that matter. Romo sits to pee threw an easy INT to Rogers before the big play to Miles Austin to setup final play. If Rogers makes the easy INT, there is no "holding call or winning TD" play....

First of all the holding call wasn't blown. It was blatantly obvious that Barron saved Romo sits to pee from being sacked by holding Orakpo. It's a lose-lose situation but that's what you want your guy to do. If you're going to lose the game either way you might as well protect your QB.

If we're going to play the ifs and buts game it can go either way. We're a FG away from 2-1. How about an unsuccessful one handed catch by a gimpy Andre Johnson? Let's take our record for what it actually is and not "well what if...."

If

I think he means IF the holding call was NOT called and was missed, was blown, then Cowboys would have won.

Regardless, we were one timeout from being 2-1. I don't care what anyone says, once you are lined up and the ball is snapped... you can't stop the play. The refs should not have given the timeout to the Texans.

To play devil's advocate here, I'm not convinced Orakpo sacks Romo sits to pee. How many times have we seen Romo sits to pee side step and elude would-be tacklers for a near-miss sack, and then throw a 30 yard dagger down the field?

I kinda feel like we got lucky against Dallas, unlucky against Houston, and our butts whipped against the Rams, so 1-2 sounds right to me. I'd just reverse the order of our first two games.

Hey, I was just as pissed off yesterday as the next guy, after watching that poor excuse for a football performance. But, this is a rebuilding year. (how many times have we said that in the last ten years?) Gibbs 1.0 started of 0-5 if I remember correctly, and he certainly turned that around over the next decade. We really do need to give the new coaching staff some time to get things turned around from the horrible management of this team thanks to Mr. Cerrato.

As mentioned before, the OP is saying "What if the refs completely missed the holding call on Orakpo?", then we would be 0-3. It's not that far fetched, refs have been known to "let guys play" on the last play of the game. We've certainly seen even more obvious penalties that didn't get called in the past.

How about this:

One holding call away from 0-3, ok.

One missed/blocked FG away from 2-1.

Two fluke injuries (Williams and Moore) away from possibly 3-0: If Moore's playing against Houston, they're probably not throwing for 497 against us. If Williams doesn't get injured, Heyer doesn't get that hold called on him against Mario Williams and we're moving the ball late in the fourth against the Texans. If Heyer doesn't get that holding call in the red zone against he Rams, we have a first and goal on the 1 after the Pass Interference call on the whoever decided to tackle Fred Davis in the end zone, we probably get 7 instead of 3 on that drive, and it's a completely different ball game.

What exactly is the point of this thread? A guy at work today said the same crap to me. You know my answer? I'll take lucky over good any day. Who got the win in week one? The Puke fans feel all emboldened today because they got a win. Big whoopy. Stick them chests out boy lovers, you've still got the same old problems you always did. Sure you beat the Texans but them sorry no down dirty Redskins still beat ya'll and part of me as sick as it sounds wants to see this team go 1-15 if nothing else then to say "remember that 1 win season? Yea we still beat the Cowboys" and rub your faces all up in that. **** the Cowboys. If it takes luck then give us all the damn luck. We may be 1-2 today but we are 1-0 against them damn Cowboys. Hell ya feels good

Hitman,

Your pic is worth 1000 words.

I am talking about "What if the ref had NOT called the holding penalty to end the dollass game?"

We would be 3-0.

I'll take 1-2, but good grief, the other texas team and the rams are games we should have won.

I hope the "Who should we draft this year thread" is a happy place today....

Maybe we should open a "What overpriced, big name, over the hill vet free-agent are we going to win the super bowl with this off-season",

Somebody have mercy and push me off this ledge!

Which holding call was blown? :whoknows:

He means if the refs blew the call on Barron against Orakpo at the end of the game. It was an obvious hold, but refs blow obvious holds all the time. We easily could have all been sitting around crying about how the refs missed an obvious hold to give Dallas the game.

Regardless, we're 1-2 with a very tough stretch coming up, and that's really all that matters.

Well, nothing about the Rams game shows that we "should have won" it. We come out that flat, we deserve to lose.

I fully believe the team is better than what showed up on Sunday -- we saw that in weeks 1 and 2. After what was said by players in the past week I think a good serving of humble pie was good for the locker room.
