Not liking all of these red minuses on his draft profile: http://www.tankathon.com/players/admiral-schofield

It's a horrible pick. Dude is a way undersized SF. Very best case scenario is that he becomes a try-hard Draymond-lite. Most likely scenario is he sees the court in garbage time when someone is inevitably hurt/spends majority of time on the Go-Go

God, I hate Ted and this organization so much.

we drafted a junior & senior, both with good work ethics and somewhat limited ceilings. they had a plan, and stuck to it. I don't necessarily agree with it, but we'll see how it plays out.

I’m sticking with my theory that the thinking was at least partially culture change.  Tommy has had a front row seat to what’s gone on behind the scenes, maybe he’s trying to change the way things were done.

so basically he's a very strong bodied catch and shoot specialist.  He reminds me of Danuel House.  Hopefully he turns out better for us than House did.

I hope he can play defense.

Lecque, Cheatham, & Hoard come on down.

Well I for one think it makes sense to get our players from nations with such storied basketball traditions as England and Japan.

Admiral was born in England while his father was serving our country.

Yeah I don't really see the upside with this pick.  Optimistically he's a bench mob spot up shooter.  Perhaps his real value is that the Wizards think he's good enough to sit on the bench, mature enough not to cause problems, and cost as little as possible.

Schofield can ball, he’s a better prospect than Grant Williams who went in the top 25 as he was promised he would.

He will be a favorite in Washington quickly, but we should have taken Bol or Lecque.

  • More than just a shooter - showing ability with his athleticism and strength in several ways. Scored an elite 1.509 points per Transition possession [98th percentile] running the wings aggressively and finishing emphatically with a head of steam. Got another 21% of his possessions from isolations or post ups, showing the ability to make aggressive straight-line drives, face-up jumpers, and an occasional fadeaway or step back jumper. Keeps things simple as a slasher.   Got 26% of his shots in the half court around the rim and scored an above average 1.217 points per finishing opportunity [68th percentile]. Has room to pick and choose his spots a bit better.

He worked Hachimura & Clarke when they beat the Zags, he can play.

Suns get Lecque because we hate talent. We are the Washington lunchpails.

Cheatham to the Pels.

#ErnieStrong

*Hoard to Portland.

The fact that we could have easily ended the night with Reddish, Bol, Lecque & Cheatham, and instead ended it with Hoochie momma, Schofield, & Davis ... is disgusting.

Wow.  Fred Katz called the Aaron White thing too.  Said that they want him, but the obstacle will be the fact that he's actually making pretty good money now in Europe.

I don't know what to think about Bol any more.  I would have picked him at nine and it would have been a reach of 35 picks.  I would have reached for Brandon Clarke too.  The NBA draft is impossible for a layman to predict, so I try not to get too far with a man crush until we actually pick a guy.  But it does hurt to have passed on Clarke, I really liked that kid.

I don't think I was wrong about Bol's talent, but the combination of his character and health must have been a disaster.

Denver isn't scared of bringing in blue chip guys with really serious medical issues.  But I think Michael Porter is going to burn them.

Lol Cam Reddish sucks. Why yall Wizards fans so up in arms over this. Rui addresses a desperate need for a big man.

If Bol pans out, Denver’s front court with him and Jokic is going to be a nightmare for teams. Two bigs with floor vision and the ability to stretch out to the perimeter...

Ugh good thing we got ourselves a real scrappy 6-4 small forward, who is so unskilled, that he’s projected as an “undersized” PF.

... Ed Tapscott was sitting there with Tommy Sheppard, Frank Ross, and Scott Brooks in our war room?

On the plus side @StillUnknown, I don't think we have to worry about Ed Tapscott coming in and getting the GM job at the 11th hour.

On the minus side, it's because he's already working for us.

Watching that awkward phone call to Rui Hachimura that Fred Katz posted on his twitter feed... our war room just isn't a very inspiring meeting of the minds.  It feels like the front office version of a bunch of grinding try hards.

I'm a verified Reddish hater.  I'm relieved we didn't pick him.

My boy Culver went 6th.  We'd have been able to get him if we hadn't been leapfrogged three freaking times.

All that good tank work we did in the last month was for nothing.
