santana_4_prez
It sure sounds like Devin is going to play some receiver this week. With him in the rotation at receiver maybe they want someone else returning kicks, like Banks. Kind of sounds that way from their tweets. Thoughts? @MrDevinThomas FINALLY D.THOMAS IS BACK IN THE ROTATION! PLEASE THROW UR ONE'S UP! #11 @bbanks16 Going to get better today !! Damn I can't wait for my opportunity!! But one day at a time!! Skins4Life6388
I'm excited for this and for DT to get an opportunity but I'm not sure shanny would be too happy about them releasing this info
MonkFan8
I'm excited for this and for DT to get an opportunity but I'm not sure shanny would be too happy about them releasing this infoI don't really see much info, lol.Hopefully DT gets on the field as a receiver. I definitely think he could contribute. He's been great as a KR thus far, so it would seem odd to me to force Banks in there. All speculation at this point. TSO
That's more due to Armstrong's groin injury than anything else... should be interesting to see how Devin does.
Ingtar
I would think he could out do Armstrong's production.
DarrellsMyHero28
Now's his chance. If he's terrible in this game, I wouldn't be surprised to see him get cut soon. Time to put up or shut up Devin.
HailB&G
They will probably need both Devin and Armstrong on STs, because I can't imagine Simpson will be ready to contribute much by Sunday, if he is active at all. I mean, Simpson will have 3 practices and a walk through before tipoff.
BadKarma
If Thomas can't play WR this week he is useless to us, he sucks on special teams coverage and isn't elusive enough to return. I hope to hell he gets into a rythm with Mcnabb and puts up some strong numbers, love his potential but Shanny isnt going to wait around for him to turn the corner. DCchillin89
That's fine... we had 400+ yards last week through the air. Can DT play running back?
Reic
I was wondering about banks today. I am excited to see what these guys can do on the field. I am doubting Thomas will amount to anything, but I have never been a fan of him anyway.

colkilla
i think the more likely scenario is devin getting reps at wr and simpson returning kicks. believe me returning kicks ain't rocket science. if they need to rely on dt to play in the offense, they won't risk him returning kicks... Dan T.
If true, all I can say is It's About Damn Time. Devin Thomas is a FOOTBALL player. He plays WR with passion and intensity, and he's a powerful runner with the ball. I was disappointed this training camp that he seemed to take a step back from the progress he's made. I have a feeling he's ready to turn the corner and become a prime target for McNabb. So I really really hope this is true.

DGREENHULK
I hope he plays well. I think I speak for the majority when I say if DT gets a chance he needs to explode like he did vs NO last year. This might be his last opportunity to prove himself to Shanny. He has shown his value on KR's now he needs to make plays with Mc5. HTTR
Dan T.
Anthony Armstrong is listed on the Wednesday injury report as "No practice - groin." That may be why Devin might get his shot Sunday.

SkinsCrushCowboys
return game and receivers were not the problem....unless they can play cover corner or run the ball out of the backfield, not sure it is a huge upgrade at either position
spanishomelette
Yeah, depends on Armstrong's injury...also the special teams issue that caused move to get fast Chad

Chachie
I can't say whether Thomas has earned time on the field as a receiver or not but I do think he's been denied a real QB for too long. To not give him a shot in regulation time with Donovan McFreakingNabb would be a shame for Devin and foolish on the part of the coaching staff. We might see what we've been waiting for. I like the way DT's been returning, lately. But I would love to see DT step up and become the #2 receiver we've been lacking since oh 2005 or so. We've gone so long with Moss as our only real WR threat. And if Banks can do his thing and take a suicide squad hit and not fumble...... HAIL YES!
