After reading a couple player tweets, I think DT will play receiver and Banks will return kicks vs STL

I don't really see much info, lol.

Hopefully DT gets on the field as a receiver. I definitely think he could contribute.

He's been great as a KR thus far, so it would seem odd to me to force Banks in there. All speculation at this point.

They will probably need both Devin and Armstrong on STs, because I can't imagine Simpson will be ready to contribute much by Sunday, if he is active at all. I mean, Simpson will have 3 practices and a walk through before tipoff.

i think the more likely scenario is devin getting reps at wr and simpson returning kicks. believe me returning kicks ain't rocket science. if they need to rely on dt to play in the offense, they won't risk him returning kicks...

If true, all I can say is It's About Damn Time. Devin Thomas is a FOOTBALL player. He plays WR with passion and intensity, and he's a powerful runner with the ball. I was disappointed this training camp that he seemed to take a step back from the progress he's made. I have a feeling he's ready to turn the corner and become a prime target for McNabb. So I really really hope this is true.

He is not useless on special teams. He is 6th in the league as a returner.

Have you not watched any games this season? Nearly all of his returns have been good. Almost broke 2 against Dallas

I can't say whether Thomas has earned time on the field as a receiver or not but I do think he's been denied a real QB for too long. To not give him a shot in regulation time with Donovan McFreakingNabb would be a shame for Devin and foolish on the part of the coaching staff. We might see what we've been waiting for.

I like the way DT's been returning, lately.

But I would love to see DT step up and become the #2 receiver we've been lacking since oh 2005 or so. We've gone so long with Moss as our only real WR threat. And if Banks can do his thing and take a suicide squad hit and not fumble...... HAIL YES!
