Todd Husak! Woohoo! Whoopee! There is a real gamer.

New York City - The New York Jets announced today they have signed free agent quarterback Todd Husak. The announcement was made by Jets’ General Manager Terry Bradway.

Husak joins the Jets for the third time, having spent most of the 2001 season on the Club’s practice squad and then returning in 2002 as the Jets’ third quarterback. The 6-3, 216-pound quarterback from Stanford University is entering his fourth season in the NFL and has played in one regular season game in his career, completing two-of-two passes while with the Washington Redskins in 2000.

The Jets’ active roster currently stands at 72 players. The Jets travel to Philadelphia to play the Eagles on Thursday, August 28 in their preseason finale. The final 53-man roster for the regular season must be set by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 31.

Art, slipping into Flowtrain's persona.

In what has been a solid offseason for Bradway, he shows again, with this move, to be completely in control of the team and to have a plan for the future. Husak is a very skilled player ideally suited for the West Coast Offense. He's the best player for our situation there is available on the market. Another feather in Bradway's cap here.

Ok. Now I feel dirty :).
