Redskins Team Store

Three weeks ago i placed a near $500 order on the skins website team store. I was very specific in asking while i was on the phone if any items out of stock. She checked and said there were plenty of each, and my order would ship within 48 hours. When i received my order, it was 2 products short and of course it had to be the stuff my wife wanted.

So here i am 3 weeks after the initial order, and after having to choose a new hat as they claim the one my wife wants is permanently out of stock ... i still don't have the hat or jersey.

I have placed 3 phone calls to the store, the first rep told me the items would ship out last week, when it did not come Friday, i called again (due to a nagging wife) This time, i was again told there are 2 in the warehouse, one is hers ... and now today, they tell me they are out of stock and can not give me a shipping date (or my new hat).

Needless to say my excitement leading up to the home opener has been greatly diminished by the fact that maingate (who runs the store) can't get it right, or give me 2 consecutive matching answers.

Is there a store close enough where you can go in person? I find it's easier to get things resolved person to person. Also, sounds like maybe you should take your complaint up the management chain. You've been reasonable through a bunch of silliness and they had more than enough time and opportunities to get it right.

It's a well deserved rant though.

The reason i used the actual team store if because i had $500 worth of gift cards from the lottery 2nd chance drawing last year ... and actually got a decent deal as i saved 15% by signing up for their promotional emails. I do have the names and times of everyone i talked to ... it's something i have always done since being in business.

We used to have a local retail store, but it closed a few months ago.

Today marks the 2nd straight day i have been "Assured" a call back by a manager with an answer and heard nothing. I am very disappointed in my experience thus far, and have yet to see any light at the end of proverbial tunnel.

I never Shop at the Redskins store. . its way over priced and they NEVER have anything for the Females. . Try FansEdge, Ive ordered from them a bunch of times and never had any complaints and their selection is way better.

NFLshop is probably your best bet for women's stuff. Alyssa Milano has a section on there of her women's clothing. Might be a little bit pricey with some of the things. But the clothing looks really nice.

And also, another female poster on the board said that they now sell women's stuff (Redskins) at Victoria's Secret now.

I think redskins undergarments might be more of a distraction ... it would be like oh baby, yea, take off your top ... ohhhh FOOTBALL, TURN ON THE TV :ols:

What items did you order?

I just ordered an authentic McNabb from RedskinsStore.com. It will take 4-6 weeks due to availability.

How about as a beer vendor selling $10 brews at the games......or cleaning the Urinals at FedEx after Half Time.......THAT would be some funny ****!

OP: I had similar a experience in the past on some ST-21 Pro-Bowl jerseys, except it wasn't Maingate running it then. I just think the Redskins Store is disorganized IMO.

Read about too many horror stories on ES. What I did last season was drive to the Hall of Fame store at Fed Ex Field a couple of days before the start of the pre-season and the store was loaded. Had it all to myself. The local stores are a joke especially at Potomac Mills.

I ordered a hoodie for my 2 year old nephew in England and waited 3 weeks. No hoodie. I e-mailed twice and finally got a message back that the item was out of stock. They told me they'd be happy to provide another item. I figured why not, and selected something else. That was 3 weeks ago. Two more e-mails this week finally got me the info that the 2nd item was also out of stock.

I asked for a refund - we'll see how that goes.

I would have ordered from somewhere else, but they were the only ones I found that had the items I wanted.

Never again will I order from the Redskins Team Store.

I haven't ordered from the Redskins store in a long time. So I can't really comment on how they are. However, nflshop and espnshop are pretty good places. And they're forever sending emails that give you 15-20% off or whatever. And I've had to send stuff back from each place, and have never really had a problem. And they will tell you when you order if its in stock or not. Or if they're out of something, they will tell you that you will get one of your items then, and the other when it comes in.

Btw, at one of the places (I think espn) they have a cool Russ Grimm tshirt. Its basically a shirt recognizing him making the HOF. And it also lists all his accomplishments. Pretty cool. Saw it the other day.

Well my wife apparently ordered something for me from redskins.com for Christmas and had a mess of issues. Not sure of the whole story but sounds like she was getting the run around and was finally told today that the item was out of stock and could be over a month before it came in. So she is really upset. I still don't know all the details because it was a Christmas gift and she can't tell me what it was. I'll let her get on under my login later and let her explain the whole story. But from what I'm hearing, stay away from the online redskins store.
