Destino
Guess he can go back to that nice crib in Jacksonville to watch the games this season lol. Sounds awesome to me... I don't know why these guys even try to keep playing as long as they do. You give me 10+ million and I'm setting up income producing assets and getting the hell out of the knee/back/shoulder destroying no loyalty sport as fast as possible. ExoDus84
Coles is a third rate receiver. Who gives a **** what he says. The best thing we ever did was getting rid of him and getting a real receiver in Santana Moss.
Mercuryrising
There used to be a time when Redskins fans would not be so blase about a jerk like Coles ripping into their team or anyone associated with it. I'm just sad to see that those times seem to be long gone. Relax, he didn't rip into the team, or anyone associated with the Skins. Read his quote agin, if you even read it a first time. grego
This leads us to why he was dealt for Santana Moss. He felt it was the offense preventing him from being more successful. i'm sure he may have felt that way, but his career averages are something in the neighborhood of 800-900 yards and 5 TD's. he's been pretty much the same everywhere he's been. now, as a previous poster said, had he ever fixed his toe, which i think was when he started losing whatever it was that he had, who knows how much better he could have been. Mania
havent looked at his stats in awhile, but as i recall, he had a 100 yd game his first game as a skin. and then had- maybe- one over the next 2 seasons. and his TD total was nothing to write home about.edit- checked his stats- he had 3 100 yd games- his first 3 as a redskin. had 3 the next 2 years. i disagree with dan t. it may have been cuz of his toe- i imagine it was a big part of it- but i never saw a guy get so much $ for being butt-average. true but the offenses and quarterbacks he played for were attrocious. I say sign him for a big screen TV:ols:

SplashHit25
The Jets are reminding me of us back years ago when Snyder first took the team. Big names, vets etc....Throw money at the names and hope it sticks. It will backfire too. As for Coles, bump him. Who cares. It shows his class (lack thereof). thebluefood
As much as I wanna get mad, I can't. He's absolutely right. Snyder took a decade long crap on this franchise.
Mooka
I know it is easy for fans to ignore the big picture and very easy to play Monday-morning QB, but it is sad that some fans don't take the time to think about what lies behind the "madness." The 13th overall pick and the largest signing bonus ever for a WR at the time for a young receiver with one 1000 yard season. Monday morning QB my foot, everyone and their mom knew that move was retarded.

Horatio
The original post on this story notes that Deion said pretty much the same thing about Snyder's deep pockets: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...ve-dan-snyder/ When asked about Redskins owner Dan Snyder on NFL Network, Deion Sanders usually says he loves him and thanks him for helping to build a new wing of his home with his final NFL contract.Jets receiver Laveranues Coles can identify. With a matchup against the Redskins this week, Coles was asked if he had any emotions facing his former team. "I'm very thankful to Dan Snyder for building my home down in Jacksonville," said Coles, referring to a 25,000-square foot mansion, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com. "That's about it." Unlike many veterans that came to Washington, Coles actually produced in his time in Washington. Coles was asked if Snyder is memorialized anywhere in the house. "Maybe I'll put up a picture of him in one of his $80,000 suits or those $50,000 boots he wears," Coles joked.
