RawBBQSauce
Here's how it works with Transfer rumors. If LFC, AFC, or MUFC aren't scoring goals: Young promising and prolific forwards start being linked to them. If LFC, AFC, or MUFC are suffering defensively: Young promising and prolific defenders start being linked to them.

If LFC, AFC, or MUFC are suffering defensively: Young promising and prolific defenders start being linked to them. Most of the time, we do the scouting and bring players in and then Arsenal, Chelsea, or Spurs try to out bid us for the service of the player. Rues is a well-known player, so that's not the case here. That all said, I don't believe anything regarding Reus rumors. I actually wouldn't believe that Arsenal had a scouting department if my last boss's brother-in-law wasn't a scout for them.

Gibbs Hog Heaven
Wow... some really powerful stuff coming out of this new Hillsborough Inquest. It's up to you if you want to talk about it, GHH...,,. I don't mind if you want to lil' bro'. Harrowing as it is. I have left most all of the inquest here or in the 'other' thread as you get self concessions of sounding self pitying on the subject. We aren't of course, but I guess that's just a sympton of the crap we've had to deal with in merry old England the past 25 years. Granada (local TV news) have been doing a great job on their website with daily updates. The pen portraits of each of the 96 where especially harrowing though so not something I'd advise sending folk to. Talking of, there's a brilliant, uncensored interview on there with Roy Keane where he rips Ferguson a new one. If nobody links it I will over the weekend. And we'll sign Reus when we're back in Germany in June for # 6. Pick him up on the way to Berlin. BELIEVE! We are LIVERPOOL! Hail. DC9
Looks like Klinsmann has been reading the thread... Yedlin moved to Right Wing in front of Chandler at Right Back. They switched back and forth with the shape a couple of times but that right side just flew down the field. Jozy looked like himself. But this kid Bobby Wood looked pretty good... made some nice runs and has some good ball control. Enner Valencia has had about five grade A chances against Guzan but seems trigger-shy. Not sure why... he's a BPL player playing for his country in an International Friendly. I'm sure the Hammers would love to see him grease up Guzan lol. Damn... Valencia just scored. lol. DC9
And Wood blows it in the 6! Ugh... kid still looked good. We'll never have a decisive striker on the USMNT...

Old Bay
So is Donovan's retirement as big a deal as it's being made out to be? Granted he's the all time leader for the US in goals and assists and brought passion when he was on the field. But, he also had decent stretches of lethargy off of it and seemed to often have sebaticals. I actually thought he was fairly well overrated up until the 2010 World Cup. That tournament opened my eyes to what others were talking about. Will the fallout with Jurgen tarnish his record with the USMNT? Thoughts? If they indeed start playing some Champions League qualifiers here in the US, you and I are going to hit one up together, brother. That tournament opened my eyes to what others were talking about. Will the fallout with Jurgen tarnish his record with the USMNT? Thoughts? It's more monumental than anything else, in my opinion. It's hard to say he isn't the best US footballer ever. But I think it's time for him to sail off. I don't think this effects the US team at all, though. Right now they are still a team that will get out of groups and not much further. I think we've caught up to the rest of the world all over the pitch and on the training ground in all aspects of the game except for a pure striker or two. When we get one of those we can talk about next-level ****. But Donovan retiring doesn't deeply effect us, I actually think it forces others to work harder and encourages more creativity amongst the possible replacements. The last time I was in that stadium 39 people died, Juventus conned us out of another European Cup, and we landed a lengthy ban from Europe. Looks a lot different and safer now. Hail. Gibbs Hog Heaven
RT @IanDarke World champions Germany beaten 2-0 in Poland. After Spain loss to Slovakia , breathes life into Euro qualifying. Not raally. The way Platini's set up this expanded Natons Cup, there's ZERO way none of the major Nations aren't qualifying. Even if they finished second in the group chances are they'd get a real easy playoff. And Poland- Germany is one of those sporting contests WAY bigger than sport. Like Holland- Germany or Austria- Germany, it's all about the War. All three hate the Germans with a serious passion understandedbly. Hail.
