smiley4284
Wouldn't that mean that they can recognize one that isn't good? Not really. I mean its about time. And Iam only giving DM props. But he is in his 30's and has had a career. kind of a no brainer on that one. Thats like picking up Brett Favre now. Yeah hes good. hahahahah Rex skeptical, most say he sucks. The other 2 we ll see. Hopefully. hahaha

darklight1216
Wow, the C of C has been closed. Also for the Cult fans: Santana Moss has some really nice things to say about Colt in his interview on Redskins.com. Check it out. Wow, I can't believe it closed. I seriously thought it would continue at least until preseason was over. More than that, I can't believe that my post was the last non-mod post in it. Hunter_R
Colt was obviously not a Shanahan guy plus they want to "CONVINCE" themselves that Rex is their backup. From what I've read, Grossman is looking pretty damn good in camp, while Colt was looking pretty damn bad.
terpskins10
From what I've read, Grossman is looking pretty damn good in camp, while Colt was looking pretty damn bad. What do you expect? He probably actually believes Colt's release had nothing to do with his play and everything to do with wanting Beck. lol
frankez99
Somebody will, thats for sure. That somebody is most likely going to be the UFL, CFL, or AFL. Or he may land in a training camp that needs an extra arm while another player is nursing an injury. Who knows though; he seems like a pretty hard-working dude....albeit a little ****y and erratic....thus his position on the unemployment line. He just wasn't GOOD enough to make our beloved Redskins. Mark The Homer
As good as he was ... and with all his potential ... the fact is, it's just really, really, really ****ing hard to make it on a team on the NFL. He may very well be an NFL QB some day - he just doesn't fit our situation at this moment. The NFL is tough.

Bat~man
From what I've read, Grossman is looking pretty damn good in camp, while Colt was looking pretty damn bad. +1 Colt never really looked good in his time here outside of a few preseason games. The guy may have had a lot of potential, but, he was just made of glass. Now they say he may have lost some of his arm strength due to some hip operations? Not a good deal. I had nothing against Colt, but it was obvious it just wasn't fit to be an NFL QB, now maybe some of the blind cult love will fade and follow him to whatever team he joins. Good Luck to him either way :point2sky

Getting cut by the Skins isn't a bad thing. Just b/c you don't have confidence in Colt doesn't mean Squat. He will get picked up by another NFL team. tiger187126
From what I've read, Grossman is looking pretty damn good in camp, while Colt was looking pretty damn bad. everyone was complaining that colt was doomed by zorn tampering with his release. well shannahan told him throw it however you want and bartel outplayed him from day one. no more excuses, he's gone and probably will be followed by bartel and/or beck. shanny said "if he's worthy we'll keep a 3rd qb" and that doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement. popolo_loco
It's only a matter of time before Sexy Rexy show's up. John Beck was suppose to be the future of the Dolphins but he stunk so bad that they replaced him with Cleo Lemon. The Dolphins were FORCED to go out and draft Henne. Just hope the O-Line can keep McNabb upright.

He will get picked up by another NFL team. All I know is he wasn't GOOD enough for the Redskins (five days into camp....not a good sign); and that is all that matters. He is old news. Regardless, good luck Colt on your future NFL (or whatever league) endeavors.
popolo_loco
The tell tale sign will be if Rex & Bartel are released then Colt was right, they wanted Beck all along.
CRobi21
The tell tale sign will be if Rex & Bartel are released then Colt was right, they wanted Beck all along. Yep. The fact that he's looked like **** through 5 days of camp had nothing to do with it.
tiger187126
They brought Beck in for a reason, Rex & Bartel are gone. rex still comes from kyle's offense and has been with this program for a long time. a little competition won't hurt though. either way you have to pray mcnabb doesn't go down. authentic
The tell tale sign will be if Rex & Bartel are released then Colt was right, they wanted Beck all along. if colt was that good, it would have shown in camp. unfortunately, his sorry play made it more convenient to bring beck in. Too bad, hopefully he tags on w/another team.
TK
they want to "CONVINCE" themselves that Rex is their backup. Child please. Rex has already had a year in Kyle's offense. There's no convincing theirselves of anything. He knows the playbook. That's why they signed him. Just like when Al brought in his 700 page playbook, he also brought in his backup, Todd Collins. authentic
They brought Beck in for a reason, Rex & Bartel are gone. you can't be serious. I 100% guarantee that Rex will be the #2. The competition will be btwn Beck & Bartell for the #3, IF Shanny decides to keep a 3rd QB.

sheyn
well, it has been fun, since i made it clear from the start that i was seeing how colt will do i bid all of you farewell. i enjoyed chatting with some of you in colt's rookie season. good luck to the skins, you fans have shown me class and courtesy so although i am not a diehard fan like some of you (i enjoy college more than pros sorry) i will hope that the redskins represent the nfc in many superbowls to come, umnless colt signs with the saints or someone that runs a spread. lol. seriously though good luck! AND GO DUCKS!
