Commander PK
Just wanted to point out that according to NFL.com's Fantasy QB rankings, Donovan is ranked 4th out of 4 in the NFC East. Even unproven Kevin Kolb somehow has garnered more respect than Donovan. What exactly has he done to be the 11th ranked QB in the NFL? http://www.nfl.com/fantasy/rankings/qb 1. Aaron Rodgers Green Bay $20 10 2. Drew Brees New Orleans $19 10 3. Peyton Manning Indianapolis $18 7 4. Tom Brady New England $16 5 5. Tony Romo sits to pee Dallas $14 4 6. Matt Schaub Houston $14 7 7. Philip Rivers San Diego $12 10 8. Brett Favre Minnesota $11 4 9. Jay Cutler Chicago $8 8 10. Eli Manning N.Y. Giants $8 8 11. Kevin Kolb Philadelphia $7 8 12. Donovan McNabb $7 9 I wonder if it's because the Eagles have no running game, and they expect Kolb to be throwing all the time.
ddub52
Fantasy points can reflect on the team they play for. I agree that Kolb shouldnt be ahead of McNabb, but seeing McNabb at 12 doesnt surprise me
skins2victory
Ya Kolb at 11 is rediculas! I dont think it is unreasonable to have DM at 12, but Kolb has done nothing to deserve that kind of respect already.
Commander PK
If Donovan was still with the Eagles, no doubt they would have him ranked 2nd or 3rd, depending who was doing the Rankings. Kolb at 11 is absurd. He has yet to even play a full season in the NFL, and he's already better than 21 other Quarterbacks?

That or with our THREE BEAST RUNNING BACKS, we'll be running all the time. These are only fantasy rankings, people. Fantasy being the key word. Don't get too worked up about this one. Truant
This is definitely more about the supporting cast. DeSean Jackson, Maclin, and Celek are all highly regarded fantasy talents. Add in that McCoy is a pass receiving back and that Kolb put up big stats in limited time and you can kinda see why he's up there so high. But fantasy does this every year. It used to be about sleepers because experts would fail to recognize young talent. Now people totally go the other way and try to boost sleepers and young talent to compensate. That said, I'm not sure that McNabb will be a better fantasy QB than anyone in the division.
RansomthePasserby
How can a QB with a 1-1 win/loss starting record be projected to have a better season than a QB with a 92-49 record? I wonder if it's because the Eagles have no running game, and they expect Kolb to be throwing all the time. Usually no running game with an unproven quarterback spells disaster. Just saying, NFL.com. MGutta
For what it's worth, my draft guide has him as the 14th QB, ahead of only Eli. They project ~ 3,800 yds 20 td 10 int

Section123OnSundays
How many games has Kolb even played? 2? 3? Please tell me why he is expected to be such a great QB without having done anything yet.
RFK Lives
Supporting cast, especially at WR, is considered better, with this I agree but Cooley and Davis are equal if not better than Celek. No substitute for game experience, I think Kolb throws more than 10 picks.
brianm23
The less respect this team and our players get, the better off we'll be. This only provides fuel for them to prove people wrong. I love it. I'm hoping we get 100 more articles ****ting on this team. It'll make the taste of their tears all the more sweeter when we stomp their asses. Heidenreich
Fantasy rank is way different than real life rank. In a bonus league (TD's over 50 yards), with DeSean jackson, Kolb can have a MONSTER fantasy season completing 5 passes a game. All he needs is to hit two bombs (or a quick slant) to Jackson that he busts for a 70 yard TD. The "experts" don't think Santana can do that. And with three running backs, and unproven #2 receivers, McNabb may not have a big fantasy season. That's what this article is saying.....
DC_Titan
McNabb is the better QB but Reid is a pass happy coach compared to Mike Shanahan who has (or used to have) a committment to the running game. So when considering "Fantasy" QB's, Kolb is likely the better pick.
LeftCoast Skinz FAN
It is fantasy you are talking about, not reality. Things in fantasy football work differently than in real football. First off, McNabb is now a Redskins and in fantasy terms the Skins offense is not very good, at least it hasn't been very good in the past couple of years. Second, Philli has a pass happy offense and their receivers are better than the Skins, again in fantasy. And another reason is that the "experts" of fantasy football don't have a clue as to what they are talking about. Which is why the are "experts" in FANTASY FOOTBALL and not "experts" in REAL FOOTBALL. :logo:
tshile
some of you are going to be surprised at just how good Kolb is. It isn't like he's a ****ty QB the eagles picked up undrafted one year... he's pretty good...
greenspandan
you guys sound like a bunch of fantasy rookies. those rankings aren't an assessment of how good the player is, it's how many fantasy points he's going to generate. kolb plays for a coach who routinely throws it 50 times a game. shannahan QBs just aren't that gaudy. those rankings aren't really a slap at mcnabb's talent. it's basically predicting the redskins offense under shannahan is not going to put up the same passing numbers that the eagles will. if you disagree, you are free to draft mcnabb higher. pennywise
FANTASY RATINGS. McNabb will have undoubtedly the worst WR group in the NFC East to throw to. He's only going to be as good as who takes the field with him.
Commander PK
I understand that this is Fantasy ratings. My beef has less to do with where McNabb is, and more to do with the fact that Kolb is ranked higher, even if his supporting cast is more "proven." Their success will depend on Kolb's success, and he is unproven. He may turn out to be successful, but right now that is anybody's guess. I can tell you now, call me a homer but I would draft McNabb everyday of the week and twice on Sunday, before I would consider Kolb. "Better" supporting cast or not. NavyDave
Hmmmm so Mcnugget is ranked 4th in the NFC East just like JC was last year with also a not so great set of WRs and a questionable O line. No Excuses though people.
theTruthTeller
News bulletin - the Skins won't have a back with a high fantasy rating either. Because they are obviously going to shuttle three backs into the game. There is a reason they call it "fantasy" football.
addicted
What's the problem with this? I tend to agree with the number 4 in the NFC East placement. McNabb vs. Kolb debate reality check - McNabbs older then Kolb, he's less mobile then Kolb, he has much worse WR's to throw to then Kolb. We are talking fantasy value here people. You can't really argue any of that imo. But anyway really why do you all care? Ask yourself, if we still had Campbell would we be ranked 12th on any QB list unless the list was worse QB's in the league? It's nice to be mentioned in such company. I'd draft Kolb over McNabb in any fantasy draft personally.

It's not that no-one believes he could possibly be good. It's the justifable rage at seeing someone ranked so high and so far ahead of other QB's more worthy, with hardly a resume to back it up. Everyone has had to earn their name and prove themselves, why should Kolb be an exception. You ready to crown him a "Paper MVP" ?
