Redskinizzle
The latest is the same as it has been for a couple months now: 1. No one wants to pay him more than a player who gets a concussion every time he is tackled is worth. 2. He wants to be payed like someone who does not get a concussion every time he is tackled. That Simple. Yes "every time he gets tackled" is obvious overstatement, but to highlight a point. He needs to retire early, just like Aikman. Oldskool
With Fast Willie finally having a good day at TC, Westbrook's light seems to be fading... One day at TC doesn't mean a hill of beans. Ask Colt about that. Odds still are on the favor of at least Parker not making the squad if not Westy being signed as well.

You think that if Parker has more days like today that he'll still lose out on 1/53rd of the team?
Conn
Really? You think that if Parker has more days like today that he'll still lose out on 1/53rd of the team? I think so, if Torrain keeps having impressive days as well.
Oldskool
Really? You think that if Parker has more days like today that he'll still lose out on 1/53rd of the team? IF that's a big IF for a guy who hasn't shown anything other than in a 4 hour stretch this morning. Parker, by all accounts, is no longer "fast" and that was his main attribute. turtle
latest update: ESPN's Chris Mortensen predicts that free agent Brian Westbrook will sign with a team by Monday. Mort mentions the Rams, Redskins, and Broncos as the likeliest choices, but he also leaves open the possibility of a surprise team. The three teams have shown interest in the 30-year-old all along, but he's been holding out for a better offer from a contender http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playernews.aspx?sport=NFL
Audible_Red40
Broncos just signed Fargas. They could have signed Westbrook if they wanted too. I would consider them out. Rams = meh?!? I would be shocked if he ended up here after missing the first part of camp and the first preseaon game. I would suspect he's got a team lined up unless there's an injury this weekend to some team out there.
SKINSFAN87
Anyone here know what is the latest with Brian Westbrook? What's the deal, is he going to sign with the Skins or what? Who cares? If he hasn't signed by now he not going to.

RabidFan
I think he doesn't want to sign an injury waiver and wants more money. He prob doesn't want to enter a camp before the season because if he gets concussed he will have to settle and not be paid for the entire year. Just my opinion. TheShredder
He won't be a Redskin. Forget about WB. He's looking for more money than he is worth and will only sign for less with a team that is picked to make a run at the Super Bowl. He doesn't like to practice and doesn't like training camp. He doesn't want to work. He's all about ME, ME, ME, Meeeeeee! Get lost on another roster WB!
SWFLSkins
Sorry BW, but I kinda like what we have here and you missed the entire camp. So I would pass. Portis, Johnson and Torain.
wrecker
At first I was all for this as a 3rd down option. But now seeing how Torain and Williams have performed during camp I would much rather see one of these guys to step up and fill that roll.
MustangSteve
I'm not sold on Westbrook either way, one more hit to the head and the mans finished for good. We need healthy backs in this system.
RandyHolt
I presume he is skipping meaningless training camp, and letting the chips fall as they may. An old vet like him doesnt need endless summer reps to catch screen passes in mid september. Learn your blitz pickups and he is ready to go. I dont think he is holding out for more money personally. I think he is avoiding unneeded injury risks and blows to the head. Most seem to speculate he wants more money like they know it for fact, but I dont see him being in that great a bargaining position. Aren't backs largely a dime a dozen, at least compared to other positions?

rumpshakers
I like Westbrook and what he can bring to the table, but he is damaged goods. He will latch on with someone near the end of preseason though.
wilburmarshall
My guess surprise team is either SD or NE.
Weganator
He waited too long. If he had decided a few weeks ago to join us, maybe. At this point it would be unfair to the RBs we currently have on the roster to lose a spot to a guy who doesn't know the playbook and would likely be playing catchup for quite some time. Not to mention the fact that he is injury prone.
