Boss_Hogg
we have now completed numbers 100-41 in the NFL Network's greatest players and still only two former Redskins; (D.Green at #75 and San Huff who at #93 who is credited as a Giant). Anyone else have an awful feeling that these NFL Network assclowns may leave out Baugh, Riggo, Monk, Sonny J, Bobby Mitchell, Ken Houston?

Dukes and Skins
Yet Michael Irvin and Larry Allen make the list. Cowboy Homers Both should be on the list though, Larry Allen was one of the dominant Linemen of his time and Michael Irvin whether you hate him or not should be on the list as well with his credentials. I don't like them being on the list but they should be with how they were.
Stadium-Armory
If evenly distributed, each team would get about 3 players on the list. Granted the league has grown, and so 32 wasn't the number even 15 years go, but having two players isn't too far off.
thebluefood
Baugh was, and is, the greatest player in the history of the league. Two way players were common back then, but I doubt there were many that dominated three positions like that.

Siven
How has this thread gotten to 11 posts and no mention of a man I call Art Monk? In my opinion, the 2nd best receiver to play the game. Be tough to make a list of 100 without him on it. I can't see him not being there, or the best, fastest CB ever, Darrell Green. Fastest CB ever? DG was never a pick machine, lockdown corner his entire career (as far as I've read). He was a great CB certainly, but the best or among the very best of all time? I'm not sure. Also, Monk is a well-deserved Hall of Famer but second best receiver ever? Over... Moss T.O. Rice Andre Reed Harrison That's already four right there. CliffBattles
With the Skins having more Hall of Famers than any team outside of the Bears, Packers, Giants, and Steelers.....and since they've been around for so long.....and have been to 5 Superbowls....and won two championships before the Superbowl era....I'd think they'd have more than two. Baugh is the lock, especially if Sabol is involved. He was considered the greatest player ever for a long time....and had been voted such prior to Jim Brown. I'm guessing he'll be a top 10....maybe top 5. Green's longevity at such a hard position is what got him in. Surprised about Sonny not making it. Maybe there were too many QB's. I'm trying to think who will make up the top of the list, with or above Baugh. I'm guessing; Jim Brown, Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Walter Payton, Lawrence Taylor, Johnny Unitas, Reggie White, and John Elway. Coming after that; Otto Graham, Ray Lewis, Ronnie Lott, Anthony Munoz, Barry Sanders, Dick Butkis, and I'm sure I'm missing some.....

Rice Andre Reed Harrison That's already four right there. Brown was the greatest running back, sure. I don't think many people would argue with you there. Baugh was dominate on all three sides of the ball. No one, before or since, has lead the League in punting, passing, and interceptions in one year. Baugh, to me, is the greatest by defalt since he wasn't just great at one position, but at all three and on all three sides of the ball (and this was in a day when punting was extremely important to a team's game plan)

He was a lock down corner before the phrase was coined. He had at least one INT every year of his career except the last one, and he should have had one then 'cept for Trotter stole one, practically right out of Green's hands. Yes, he was definitely among the greatest of all time, and should have been higher on the Top 100 list, closer to 25 would have been about right. Also, teams just didn't throw the ball to Greens side of the field, that receiver was covered and not an option for the offense during his career. The corner playing opposite of Darrell often got more picks because the ball was thrown his way instead of at Darrell. Teams would throw at Dion Sanders because they knew he would sometimes blow his coverage to try for a pick. Darrell never blew his coverage. He's the greatest corner ever, no question. Leopard11
For #1 I would have to say Jim Brown just because of the ridiculous #'s he put up in a short career #2 Sammy he totally revolutionized the game. Fill in the rest. Its hard to imagine players like riggo not being somewhere on there, played what 15 years at back skins/jets(a feat in itself). Jackie Slater played what 20 years with the Rams at tackle, thats unimaginable, for that alone he would make my list. Some of those things are not taken into consideration, I think. Not sure if he did make the list or not but 20 years, same team, to not retire/major injury in the trenches. Im guessin paul krause vikings/redskins doesnt make the list either, the guy only set and still holds the record for career ints at what 81 in 16 total seasons, many of which were only 14 game seasons. But only 2 skins made the list, thats.. lame. Ok we didnt make great players, we made great TEAMS!
G.A.C.O.L.B.
^^ I've been thinking a lot about this since they announced the program. I think #1 is going to be Jerry Rice. He's the undisputed greatest at one of the three flashiest positions (QB and RB being the other two.) Is Brown the undisputed greatest RB of all time? Is Montana the undisputed greatest QB of all time? I think they are the greatest but it's clearly not undisputed. Rice set records that possibly will never be broken (or might if they go to 18 games.) Rice is Jordan-esque. I wouldn't be shocked to see Brown at #1 though. Though I heard some interview with dude from NFL Films and he said Walter Payton is the greatest all-around RB of all time. Baugh or Montana wouldn't be a shock either. Enzo
How do they leave Art Monk off the list (I'll bet that Mr. Push-off Michael Ervin will be on it). What about Charley Taylor & Bobby Mitchell, they actually played when DBs were allowed to touch receivers ( it really annoys me that when they talk about the great receivers they fail to mention how much easier receivers have had it since the rule change in 1977). Sonny Jurgeson definitely deserves to be on the list, probably the greatest pure passer ever. Vince Lombardi said that Sonny was the Greatest QB he had ever seen & as far as I'm concerned the words of a coach that won 5 straight championships holds alot more weight than the words of some reporters. What about Grimm & Jacoby. Riggins should be on the list, after all he was rated the 2nd greatest powerback of all time behind Jim Brown. People forget that Riggins was one of those backs that could put the time on his back & carry them (ex. 1982 playoffs). What about Mark Mosley the only kicker to win an MVP award. He was Mr. Clutch long before anybody said Mr. Clutch. I believe that there is an anti-Redskins element in the media.

I was just gonna say, if Woodson is #41....there are 40 players that are insanely great. Green was amazing....and we all hate Michael Irvin....but, Irvin kinda got the best of Green.
