Is this Deadbolt?

---------- Post added March-30th-2011 at 09:23 PM ----------

Deke rules. I've seen him about a dozen times when I lived in Vegas. Including when a Crispy Creme opened. It was the first doughnut joint in town. There was even a car show. Me and all my drunk greaser friends running around with the crowns on, rat rods everywhere. Best time ever at a doughnut shop. :ols:

Ah, the Wipe Outs. I knew Deadbolt has a new one I haven't heard and took a guess. It sounded like Harleys guitar.

This show has been great. My Weds are usually my favorite night of music at work, so this is making me very happy.

I'm excited for the Feelies. Also, that's my favorite version of the Commander Cody hit.

How long is this music "hour"?

If you're free on Tuesdays (either 1-3 or 3-5, it changes) there is a great stream of a Rockabilly show called Rockabilly Roadhouse on 103.3 WDVR.

The hour usually runs around 3 hours, give or take a few minutes.

It started out as an hour, but it's too much fun.

I'll give that tuesday show a listen, always on the nunt for something new.

Glad you liked the show, and hope you feel better, KB

Baynet radio has divorced from it's parent site, and while this site is still just a rinky dink kit, it's much easier to listen to the music.

So, since it's Wednesday and I always inset some wacky energetic comments in here to pump people up for the show, I'm tired, so insert your own wacky comments and tune in.

Tonight featuring in no particular order..

Aren't there some laws against false advertising? Playing "Sex, I'm a..." by Berlin is hardly what I'd call a sex show. Free live sex show indeed.

Coliseum twice, eh?

Ah, no Coliseum only once, ..I justl ike that song I guess.

And I can bet you I won't play Berlin anyway.

Well, it appears there's an issue with tonight's show... the station is currently unmanned and the show did not go off as expected. likely the intern forgot to push the button again.

Sorry for the false alarm,, possibly tomorrow it will play.

I'd love to put some sort of corny reparteé in here to try and sound clever, but I'm busy and don't have time. (I'm working on some cartoons for a large international sports federation.. will leave a link when it's time to show off.)

Howdy ho Crimestoppers! The BANG MUSIC HOUR is all set to launch tonight at 7pm on the NEW Baynet Radio.

Note the NEW LINK

Now, you'll notice that the thread title promises a LIVE VIRGIN SACRIFICE on the show tonight, and I'm here to tell you that it is going to be a doozy, full of old world charm and kitsch.. we've got a real Polynesian virgin, and we're going to sacrifice her to BrumbaTikma, the volcano god!

It should be pretty cool because we've got an actual real live volcano in the studio, and we're going to throw her in and everyone should have good crops and strong sons this year.

Actually, it's not really a real volcano, it's my nephew's science fair project. But it does look really cool, and the virgin is bound to hate it when that crap gets in her hair.

In the meantime, there will be lots of loud raunchy raucous rock and roll that will make your girlfriend's mother hate you.

Featuring in no particular order...

Undersea Explosion

The Shins

Ten Years After

Screaming Blue Messiahs

Gang of Four

Friends of Dean Martinez

The Yardbirds

Six by Seven

Jesus Lizard

Them Crooked Vultures

Silversun Pickups

Guilty Hearts

Bang,

Do they ever replay or re-air your shows? Wednesdays at 7 are a bad time for me, but on the few occasions I've been able to listen I've enjoyed your show.

OK, i just got a text back,, it's not being replayed right now, but it looks like I'll get either a saturday or friday night replay.

I'll keep you posted.

Hey, you can go like my Bang Music Hour facebook page.

You should know that your threads are educational. After looking into your playlist I found that Smash It Up by The Damned was covered by The Offspring for the soundtrack of the movie Batman Forever.

The Damned were one of the best punk bands there ever was. They were excelent musicians and were way more than just the thrash and snotty attitude the Sex Pistols were.

Immediate All Stars (actually, this is just Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton jamming in Page's apartment in 1965. Page was a session musician under contract with Immediate records, and when they found out about the tapes of these jam sessions, they demanded them, and rather than face a lawsuit, Page complied. (This is why he and Clapton didn't speak for a few decades.) Immediate then filled in with other session musicians (such as Mick Jagger, Bill wyman, Ian Stewart and a bunch of others.) and this song is one of the prooducts of all that.

Stevie Ray Vaughn

Talking Heads (live in '77)

Bob Marley (live in '78)

Screamin' Blue Messiahs

and of course, much more!

Be there.. or not. Really those are about the only two options available to you.
