DC Sports Bog: Cris Carter says Redskins had worst offseason in NFC

Chris Carter has no Superbowl rings, thus making him one of the saltiest NFL Alums ever born into this world. Chris Carter throws salt like rice at weddings.

Many years before Jay-Z and his "brush dirt off" move, us kids in Philly were reaching over to "brush the salt off" of someone who was acting salty.

"ooh, you feelin' salty!"

Chirs Carter is pissed Monk shoved him out of the Hall of fame.

So the redskins clean house and get a new GM that has completely changed the outlook of the team. A 2 time superbowl coach that has only picked and traded for solid players that will actually help the redskins and not because they sell jerseys.

The redskins traded for a top QB for a 2nd round pick

Picked a Solid LT in the draft

Traded for another Tackle for a 4th round pick

Those three moves alone are HUGE

Carter is smoking crack

Last year we made a splash and the critics bashed it. ESers reacted the same way then as they are now...with derision. These guys have forgotten more football than 98% of us will never know; and until we start winning and proving them wrong, then CC and his kind can say whatever the hell they want

Read a LOT of funny posts here, too many to quote.

However, I'd much rather see him be called out for it later.

Remember in 2005 when that guy on ESPN said that, if we won five in a row, that he would walk naked from Bristol to Redskins Park? And then we did? And then Gibbs called him out?

THAT was fantastic. Not that I want to see Carter naked, just embarrassed. Nudity optional.

Okay let's see here:

Minnesota:

--Signed Lito Shepherd to a one year deal.

--Brett Favre comng off ankle surgery and a year older.

--The Coach is upset the their star RB didn't come to Mini-Camp (Manditory too)

--And they had no 1st rounder

Washington:

--Acquired a Pro-Bowl QB

--Two top-Notch tackles

--A Proven G.M. that has had a hand in changing the environment of the organization

--A Coach that no player is second guessing

Oh yeah Washington had a dreadful off-season.

Carter has an ax to grind Big-Time for the following reasons:

--Which team was he on before the Vikings that used to get beat on consistently by the Skins? The Eagles.

--Which team did he and Sailsbury lose to in the 1993 Wild-Card game; and they were the home-team? Washington

--All those years when Art wasn't elected to the Hall of Fame there was a huge outcry against the Hall of Fame. Has there be one for Carter? With the exception of Mike & Mike on ESPN not much has been said. (I will never forget the day Art was elected and Mark Schlereth's reaction when he was asked about Carter not going in; all he did was look at the camera and almost smirk when he said, "Hey if Art Monk had to wait 8 years....")

--How many times did his teams beat the Skins? Hardly ever.

so obviously being a gifted athelete and accomplished NFL wide receiver doesn't necessarily make you a subject matter expert about much of anything other than how to play wide receiver ...

seriously ... his opinion about anything other than the play of wide receivers in the NFL is just some guy's opinion ... he's entitled to it but it doesn't mean he knows diddly about what he's talking about.

You all have it right. It is all related to the fact the Monk got in the HOF and he didn't. What a freaking baby.

Him and Sean Salisbury are one in the same. They both hate the Redskins.

But...I think why he's always hating on the skins is b/s of the NFC championship game where DG knocked that pass down at our own goal line

to send us to the superbowl. :D
