USA Today: Nationals Park could host MLB All star game in 2015

Recommended Posts

Jun 11, 2010 - When baseball teams build new stadiums, it's typically only a matter of time before they get an opportunity to host the All-Star Game. According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, D.C. will have the opportunity to host the Mid-Summer Classic in five years.

@BNightengale: #mlb Selig will say Wednesday that KC will host the 2012 All-Star Game. The Mets will get the game in 2013, Minnesota in 2014, and DC in 2015

If true, this would be exciting news for the D.C. and the area around the ballpark which is still off to a slow economic start.

When I first read the title I thought, Yellowstone? I don't know of any National Parks that have stadiums.

I'm an idiot.

:ols:

This would be awesome news. Nats Park really is a great stadium. I love it. Makes me even more disappointed with the soulless concrete monstrosity that is FedEx Field.
