ACW
Friends was quite the popular TV show while it was running. Doesn't mean it was any good. Or Seinfeld, or Idol.Twilight will rake in $millions at the box office. Doesn't mean it's not utter crap. ETC, etc, etc.

MartinC
Its going to be an interesting game tomorrow and an interesting competition given its very open. There are about 6 sides who have a realistic chance of winning it - and England are one of those teams. If we turn up at the right time and play close to good I'm afraid the US do not have the amunition to compete - but its a one off game so anything can happen. I expect England to make the quarter finals and if all goes according to seeding to face France. If by that stage we are playing Gerrard in a free role behind Rooney and they are both playing to their club form we have as good a chance as anybody. If we are still playing a rigid 442 with Heskey or Couch alongside Rooney its a coin toss against France and we probably lose on penalties. A tip for any betting folks - if England ever go to penalties in any game bet your house, wife and kids on them losing.
Corcaigh
:yawnee:let me know when you guys can compete in any good sports. I presume you don't mean baseball, because English elementary-age school girls are very good at the game of Rounders, which baseball is copied from. Anyway, for the English fans, I hope the American commentators have their end of game speech ready ... here's the classic when the Norwegian amateurs won in '81 PqZTP8-8wIs

Destino
Is it true the English have had cameras installed in their rooms so the coach can ensure they don't engage in stamina sapping behavior with women during the world cup? oh and Go USA, Go Chile! Kilmer17
I thought the score was 4-2. How many goals did the Russian linesman give England? The 3rd one. The important one. The last was essentially happened at the whistle.
Corcaigh
A tip for any betting folks - if England ever go to penalties in any game bet your house, wife and kids on them losing. At this stage, just blindfold the players. Random luck would have you score more penalties than what has happened in the World Cup and Euro penalty shoot outs.
