ATLredskin
I'm sure this is due to one of Jim Zorn's wacky QB drills...

SonOfWashington
http://www.torontosun.com/sports/football/2010/06/07/14302411.html A kinder, gentler Baltimore Ravens? What in the name of Ray Lewis is going on in Baltimore? There was a day when the Ravens would stomp around and behave any way they bloody well pleased, consequences be damned. Apparently those days are over. Not only were the Ravens penalized by the league yesterday for overstepping their off-season guidelines when it comes to voluntary workouts, they then turned around and apologized for it. Seems the Ravens OTA’s, which are voluntary and supposedly low key, went a little late and got a little too high spirited for some of the players, or at least one of the them. A complaint to the NFLPA brought about an investigation by the league which then handed down its judgment. There will be no OTA’s allowed by the Ravens next week. “The NFL informed us of the situation, and the action they’ve taken is appropriate,” general manager Ozzie Newsome said in a release from the team. “We made a mistake, and it won’t happen again. We’ll complete our organized team activity days this week and then turn our focus to the start of training camp.” What’s next? Lewis is going to lay someone out and then help carry him off on a stretcher?
Conn
Thanks for the article, just saw it on NFL network too. Sounds like a player snitched that practice was too hard, long, and probably had some contact. You'd think it would have to be someone who wasn't on the team last year...but no way is a rookie ballsy enough to question the team that drafted him so soon. So....Stallworth or Boldin? Boldin is a tough dude, but who knows what Cardinals practices were like, maybe it was a huge difference, and the NFL thought he happened to be right about it violating rules. Hmm. darklight1216
Did anyone else see this? Or have any other information? Wonder what rules they violated...Darklight?Link: http://twitter.com/Adam_Schefter Yeah, I saw that yesterday. Apparantly the practice was "too vigorous." The general suspicion is that there was probably tackling during the OTA's. And Jared Gaither (and his agent) is the number one suspect as far as the fans are concerned. http://www.torontosun.com/sports/football/2010/06/07/14302411.html Lol, that's hilarious. I'm sure this is due to one of Jim Zorn's wacky QB drills... :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:
ibarramedia
I wondered how they league knows this things unless they have someone there that monitors the ota's.
KDawg
I can see Zorn's reaction in my brain right now when he saw the contact... "Oh gee willickers. This isn't allowed. If I was the head coach I'd be keeping this medium right now."
Hitman21ST
I wondered how they league knows this things unless they have someone there that monitors the ota's. Someone told their agent and the agent told the NFLPA.
