He specifically lists the Eagles, Patriots and Skins as three teams that may interest Peppers. It's also noteworthy that he has interest in playing in the 3-4 so the rumblings of our switch might be appealing to him. Should we stop that permanently? Other teams do it. WE'RE just the one that gets criticized. I agree with this, and even though it isn't Snyderrato making the fantasy picks anymore, I believe it is more important to go after offensive line FA, good role players, and anyone that Shanahan has experience with to help with the transition. Being a Skins fan in Charlotte is not out of the normal, but I get to hear first hand how bad everyone hates the man. Some games he just takes off, and last year with a 16 million dollar contract. I think I hear he made 1 tackle and made 1 million dollars for it! LOL!! His fire, and motivation is just not here! He plays NOT to get hurt. Athletic, absolutely. But I think he takes too many plays off (sounds like someone else too, but his is due to conditioning). He's not a leader, when someone has the potential to be "of that caliber" it is thrust upon him to be a leader, which he absolutely refuses to do. It wasn't until his MLB (Beason) called him out on the radio that he decided to play with any type of aggression. Then again, doesn't everyone mention that the REDSKINS are in contention when it comes to FA due to the money Danny likes to spend? Therefore driving up the value of a playaaaaa! How would the overall cost not be too bad? And why in the world would Carter leave? So if we're switching to a 3-4, we should probably get this guy and have possibly the most dominating front seven in football which would include: Peppers, Haynesworth, Orakpo, Carter, Fletcher, McIntosh, (Insert LB's name here). Doesn't do much good to have Rak, Peppers, Carter, and Haynesworth if we don't have a NT to anchor the line (assuming Hayneworth doesn't play NT, which IMO would be a waste of his talents, just eating space). No, I'm not Vinny & I'm not advocating a FA spending spree , but you could have a scenario where we sign Peppers, Dansby & Dunta Robinson as FA's. Then trade Carter, Rocky & Carlos for picks. It's essentially a straight switch of starters on defense yet you enter the draft with 3 extra draft picks. I believe getting more picks is essential.
